She grew up, forced to be her independent self. She never thought twice when it came to who she could trust. Lily always wanted to be perfect. It didn't matter what it was. She just had to be perfect in everything she did. She got in trouble once, and she would end up in tears, frantically apologizing for whatever she did, it really didn't matter, as I once stated before. But, things changed as she got older. She met a guy.. or two. Or seven, and things became better for her. Or so she thought.
"Hey, Lily." My friend tried getting Lily's attention, knocking Lily out of her thoughts.
"Hm?" Lily muttered quietly.
"What are you thinking about?"
"Nothing.." she replied, staring off into space.
Lily's friend, who's name was Lisa, was starting to get agitated. Like most people here, they didn't really care for Lily's laid back attitude and well.. it was totally avoided by Lily.
"Come on.. you've got to be thinking about something." Lisa replied, opening her cell phone, obviously getting bored.
"Yes Lisa, I'm thinking about boys!" Lily replied, sarcastically. "what do you want?" She added angrily, poking into a piece of her mashed potatoes and shoving it into her mouth.
"Here.. I've got something that will cheer you up.. and yes, it's boys!" Lisa said, running to the other side of the table and sliding next to Lily, who looked unamused.
"Okay okay.." Lily paid attention to a screen filled with dots. "What is this?"
"Just watch.. You'll like it trust me. The boys are cute."
Lily chuckled nervously at the sounds of Lisa's laughing. "Come on.. they can't be that cute." Lily denied, turning away from the screen.
"Don't look away!! You'll miss it!" Lisa yelled, getting attention from surrounding people. Since they were in high school. Not many people cared after about 5 seconds.
Lily looked back and saw the boys. "Wait.. you weren't kidding.. Who are they?"
"It's BTS." Lisa said as the bell rang. "I told you, they are fucking cute. Now, don't do anything stupid." Lisa ran off, with a smile and a laugh, leaving Lily confused as hell.
