A New Start

Chapter 3: Luna.

It was the 3rd of June, 1993. Blood's fourth birthday. But also the day of birth of the sweet child, Luna. Lafriniere, its father, was filled with joy. This was his first and only child. But he knew that Sheiopia would take it away from him. And he could not do anything. But it was a benefit that he worked for Denatos and Alugarde. And Alugarde would surely allow him to see his sweet child.

Lafriniere was allowed to give it a name. It had no actual gender, so it would be quite easy, since any name would fit. He held the child in his arms and looked it in the eyes. It was a very cheerful child. "Luna. Your name is Luna." he said. "That sounds lame, you idiot!" his wife screamed. "Well, I like it, and I got to choose the name. I will bring it to the castle so you can rest, my dear." Lafriniere calmly replied and brought Luna to the bathroom where he carefully bathed it and dressed it. "My dear Luna.. You have a tough life ahead of you.. But princess Blood and I will help you.." he whispered. Luna giggled. A lot.

It was quite early in the morning, but Lafriniere had to bring his new baby to the castle. It was painful for him. Luna was still a new-born. His new-born. And he was forced to give it away. He knocked on the gate and it slowly opened. Alugarde ran to him and wanted to give him a hug, but she saw the child and gasped. "Is that the baby?!?!" she asked. Lafriniere nodded. Tears filled his eyes. "Oh, Lafriniere.. I know you want to keep it.. But you know what Sheiopia and Denatos will do to you if you keep it.. But I promise I will take care of it. I promise you'll be allowed to see it." Alugarde said. "I know I'm a horrible, mean person. I'm a virus. But I care about you. You're not only a servant, you're a friend. And I know you love your child, and I know you love mine. And I would let you take both to a better place, but I can't. I'm sorry.". Lafriniere sobbed quietly and Luna hugged him. "I-I know, my queen P-Please... G-Give it all you love..." he whispered. Tears streamed down his cheeks. Alugarde nodded and took him and his child inside the castle. "Lafriniere, I will do everything I can for it. I promise. But I can't promise you anything for Blood. I don't want to love her. And I know you do, but don't. Denatos will kill you. I will do everything I can for you to be able to spend time with her, but don't help her too much. Please." Alugarde mumbled. She hoped her husband didn't hear her. She hated Blood so much, but it was her child and she was happy that Lafriniere loved her. But she knew that Denatos disgusted the poor child. He didn't even want her to live. Alugarde didn't think it was fair. Her heart was cold but it was just a child, and even with her cold heart she wanted that child to live with someone that loved her.

It was a few weeks later and Luna was really growing. Denatos and Alugarde didn't know how to take care of it because they refused to learn how to care for babies when Blood was born, so they let her take care of Luna. She felt happy. She finally had a sibling. But she noticed that Luna had a lot of female traits. Its blue eyes, its black hair, its little body, it was all so feminine, even for an infant. It scared her. She knew her father would get the old man. She knew they would tie Luna down and give it loads of injections to make it a man. She did not want that. She wanted Luna to decide what it wanted to be. She would do everything she can to protect her new sibling. And she knew Lafriniere would too. They would do it together. Sometimes he would come over and help Blood. One day he asked Blood what she wanted to do in her future. "Hm.. I do not really know, Mister Lafriniere. What do you want to do?" Blood answered. He did not really have an answer to that. He just wanted to save Blood and Luna. But Luna was too young. It needed more time. It was only a few weeks old after all. So Lafriniere just answered with the same thing Blood answered with. These kinds of conversations happened often.

After a year, Lafriniere felt that it would be the right time to tell Blood that she could call him "dad" "father" "papa" or any of those with "step" before it. So he found a day where he would "babysit" her and Luna and took some time to talk to her. He sat down and took her and Luna on his lap. "Blood, my dear, I want to talk to you. I want to tell you that you can call me your father, dad, papa, stepdad, stepfather, steppapa, etcetera." he said. "Alright, Mister Lafriniere! Could I just call you Mister Lafriniere?" she replied.

"Uhm.. Well you could, but you don't have to. You can call me dad, you know.
"Yes, I do. But I have always called you Mister Lafriniere."
"Yeah, but you don't have to, dear."
"But I want to. You are a real Father figure to me, but it would feel wrong to call you my father. It would compare you to my real Father and he is a terrible man."
"I know, sweetie."

They hugged each other and Lafriniere started to cry. "Mister Lafriniere? Why are you crying?" Blood asked. "B-Because you d-don't deserve all o-of t-this pain Y-You are f-five..." the man whispered. "Oh, but Mister Lafriniere, It is alright. Sure, I am not like most younglings. I am formal, always in pain, skinny and badly abused. But I am happy. I have a sweet father figure like you and a lovely sibling. I have no reason to be unhappy. Please do not cry." Blood calmly said and rubbed his back. "B-Blood..! Y-Your parents a-abuse you..!! Y-You would be d-dead if y-you w-would not have this strength..!!". "Now now, Mister Lafriniere. Please remain calm. Everything is alright. I do not matter. Please just focus on Luna. It is more important. It is your child after all." Blood continued. "Blood.. Y-You are like a d-daughter to m-me... I-I want to h-help you... A-And you matter s-so much..." Lafriniere said. Blood looked down and took a deep breath. She had nothing to say. Maybe that would be better anyway. She just continued rubbing her stepfather's back. He cried for another hour and then slowly calmed down. Alugarde and Denatos suddenly returned and Blood jumped off of Lafriniere's lap. She grabbed a knife and a hammer from under the couch and started to beat herself up. When she was done she gave the weapons to Lafriniere and lied down in the corner of the room. Denatos stepped in the room and laughed. "Well well, Lafriniere! You did a great job!" he said and walked to Blood. Alugarde ran to the servant and whispered to him. "What have you done..?! Don't you love her..?!" she asked. "I do. She did that herself so Denatos would not get mad at me.." he whispered back. Meanwhile Denatos was kicking Blood and spitting on her. It was a very sad moment. But Alugarde felt very happy that Blood harmed herself and that Lafriniere still loved her. Denatos started yelling at Blood and he stabbed her with his nails. But nothing happened to her. She just bled and cried. Lafriniere wanted to punch the king. But he did not want to die. He wanted to live and help Blood and Luna. Nothing else.

This happened almost every day, and Blood started to look worse and worse and Luna started to look better and better. The two became great friends and Luna started to be very girly. It dreamed of being a pretty girl. And its body was very feminine. Blood expected that, and she was right. Her father and the old doctor tied it to a table and stabbed it with syringes. The syringes went everywhere. Its chest, its face, its stomach, its arms, its legs and even its private areas. And what was in the syringes? A special fluid. Since viruses had no contact with the world, they could not use anything that would make Luna a boy, like the things humans use. So they invented something themselves. That did not work, so they kept trying. Until Luna ran away. It and its friends got captured and it wanted to escape and saved them. And then something horrible happened.
