A few hours had passed, (y/n) was currently sitting across from Ciel in Ciel's study, his feet kicked up on the desk. Claude remained behind him, as to protect his master. Ciel, who wasn't keen on the idea of working together, was reading a report from the constables of West Yorkshire.
"Are you sure it was the Barron?" Ciel said, "I was the one who killed him after all, not to mention the manor burned down on top of him"
(Y/n) groans a little, "I told you already, the killing pattern and mutalation, not to mention the age range, are all the specifics Father used for his...children"
In truth, (y/n) hated the Barron for what he did to children, for making (y/n) and the others kidnap the children. It was the one side of (y/n)'s family that he hated so much.
"But why would there be specific peices taken? The Barron wanted the whole child, not just bits and peices" Ciel said, "It doesn't add up..."
"It is worth a shot, then lets make this one off the record" (y/n) said, "it wouldn't hurt to go after a lead, even if it isn't possible"
Ciel sighs, "I'm surprised you haven't tried to kill me yet"
"Trust me, I am thinking about it" (y/n) said, "but I am sitting in the place where your servants killed me, it wouldn't be wise to fight here, even if I do have a demonic butler with me this time"
As hours passed, the two Earls made their way out towards the Barron's old mannor. Only to find the once burned mannor back in one peice, exactly the way it was made. It terrified (y/n), not a burn mark in sight. It was as if Ciel and Sebastian had never set foot inside the manor before, as if the Barron never even existed.
(Y/n) could tell Ciel was surprised by seeing this sight. Here they were, two Earls and two butlers standing before a manor that they knew had been destroyed just some time ago.
"Still think I am wrong?" (Y/n) asked, crossing his arms.
Ciel sighs, "come now, lets investigate"
As the group approuched the doors, the twin doors swung open, revealing the inside. It was nothing like (y/n) remembered it. The walls were the shade of blood, the floors were solid black wood, a cold breeze had shot out at them like it was struggling to get warm.
But as soon as they stepped inside the doors shut themselves just as fast as they had opened, though despite Claude and Sebastian's efforts the door didn't move an inch. The lights in the main hall shattered, leaving one chandelier that barely gave any light what so ever.
"This does not look good, Claude can you see anything?" (Y/n) asked.
"Unfortunately I cannot, though I can feel a third parties presence" Claude answered.
"Yes, and they seem fimilar" Sebastian added.
Ciel steps forward, "show yourself Barron Kelvin!"
A second chandelier lights up at the top of the stairs, revealing the Barron's old wheelchair that had blood stains on it. Behind the wheelchair was what terrified (y/n) the most, pinned to the wall was the rotting corpse of Doll.
Once Claude had connected the dots, the butler quickly covered his master's eyes. Though it didn't help, (y/n) was already crying. Crying out of sadness, crying out of rage. He knew Ciel and Sebastian killed Doll, but why was her corpse here? Pinned to a bloody wall!?
"...(Y/n)?" Dolls raspy voice called from the corpse, "is that you...?"
"No,no." (Y/n) said, "you died...you can't be alive..."
"Your highness? The corpse is dead it cannot harm you" Claude reassured.
"Or is it? After all Doll's murder came at the hands of a demon and his master..." A voice echoed from the darkness.
That voice, (y/n) could recognize it without any effort. It was the barron's voice, and it just made (y/n) angry. (Y/n) smacked away claude's hand, before running up the stairs.
"How could you do this Father!? Doll was apart of our family!" (Y/n) shouted as he attempted to reach for the corpse to pull it down.
Ciel had followed (y/n), "calm down, we need to focus on the task at hand"
Before (y/n) could reply, the floor beneath them gave way. The two Earls fell beside the blood covered wheelchair. (Y/n) looked back up to call for Claude but the floor had done reappeared above them. The two Earls landed hard on the ground of a long hallway, the wheelchair falling and crushing Ciel's leg on impact, making him cry out in pain.
"Damn it..." Ciel growns, "that hurts..."
After getting up and regaining his senses, (y/n) moved the wheelchair. Tossing aside his Father's old seat and helping Ciel stand, holding Ciel against (y/n). As much as (y/n) despised Ciel, he had better ideas than to just leave the crippled Earl on his own.
"Bloody hell, what does Sebastian feed you?" (Y/n) complained as he helped Ciel walk down the hall.
"Shut up, lets just attempt to find our butlers and get to the bottom of this..." Ciel said.
"As long as it isn't the bottom of another trap..." (Y/n) replied
No matter how hard they tried, all the doors were locked and wouldn't budge. They walked for what seemed like hours, until the two came to the end of the hall. At the end of the hall was an opened door, but before they could approuch (y/n) saw someone.
A transparent shimmer of Joker, it reaches over and closes the door before turning to (y/n) and shaking his head, then walking through a side door. The door had swung open, revealing a brightly lit room with a coffin inside. Across the wood was a name written in black letters:
"JOKER"
Sitting just under the name was a torn paper, which (y/n) picked up. It was a letter written in red, and looked like it had been done by finger painting.
"Look for us, we will guide you..." (Y/n) read.
As (y/n) shoved the paper in his pocket, he holds back his urge to cry and lean against the coffin.
"Thank you...Joker"
