"Where are you going?"

Lisa stopped, and turned around awkwardly, facing the woman. The disapproving look on her face was about to crush Lisa into pieces.

"I'm m-meeting a friend..." she stumbled on her words as her mother walked towards her, arms crossed.

"Who? And why?" her mother questioned, looking at her daughter doubtfully, "And why are you wearing a dress? You never dressed up when going out with Jennie-"

Oh shit.

"Lisa! Are you going on a date? Without my permission?" Her mother gasped, her eyes shaking in horror.

"No! She's a friend, Jennie knows her too!" Lisa bit her lip.

"Lisa! Who even dolls themselves up when they're just meeting a 'friend'. And who is she? Do I know her? Where did you guys meet?"

"Mummy..."

"Oh wait! Are you dating someone? Lisa! You're not allowed to date yet! Who? What? When? Where? How?"

"MUMMY!" Lisa raised her voice, desperate to shut her mother up, "Why can't you trust me? I met her online, and she's really sweet!"

"Online? That's even worse! Your 'friend' could be a 50-year-old paedophile! Haven't I taught you not to trust strangers on the internet?"

"Mummy, I'm already 21! Stop babying me, I know how to protect myself!"

"Lalisa! I don't want you to get hurt..."

"She's not going to hurt me, Mummy. Anyways, she's coming in a few minutes, you'll see her later."

"Lisa!"

Just then, a car pulled up in front of their house.

"Look! She's here!" Lisa rushed to the door and looked through the peephole.

There she was, beautiful as ever, stepping out of the car graciously. Her floral dress was loosely tied at her waist with a ribbon. Her white sneakers shone even brighter in the blaring sunlight, and every step she took was delicate but firm. Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, she gently placed her palm over her forehead to shield her fair skin from the deathly glare of the sun.

It's her. Park Chaeyoung. The Park Chaeyoung.

Lisa gulped. Well, of course, she had seen Chaeyoung's photos online, and even met her on the day of the talent show, but she couldn't help but feel the little rush of adrenaline in her body. Chaeyoung was so lovely, and now that the door was the only thing blocking the two from seeing each other face to face, Lisa felt her fingers tremble as she reached over to the handle.

Click.

"Oh!" Chaeyoung squeaked as she quickly kept her hand that was heading for the doorbell, "What a surprise!"

Lisa's cheeks were burning, she could feel the heat radiating. It was getting hotter and hotter.

"Are you not going to let me in?" Chaeyoung let out a light laugh. Oh, Lisa was instantly rooted to the ground. Chaeyoung's sweet giggle ran through her head again and again, repeating itself like a broken radio. It was so soft and... pretty. Yes, pretty. A pretty girl with a pretty laugh. That was enough to mesmerise Lisa for the rest of her life.

"Well, well, who are you?"

"Oh hey, um Mrs Manoban?" Chaeyoung kept her smile and pulled it to a slight but polite grin, "I'm Chaeyoung, Lisa's friend."

"Are you that friend our Lisa mentioned?" the woman eyed her up and down, "When?"

"Um, when? As in when we met? Um... roughly one month ago? Yeah..um...yeah," Chaeyoung nodded, her face stuff from grinning so much.
