She's crying.

She's curled up tightly in a ball with her knees drawn close to her chest and hugging her herself. Her sobs are quiet and muffled by the door, the hand covering her mouth. Somewhere along the way, she had bitten and gnawed at her lips until a red liquid had tinted them scarlet.

It was a painful scene.

She is hurting.

When she had made herself bleed, she stopped the self injury caused by stress and simply cried.

A poor, pitiful soul.

Had the Evil God known the weakness in her heart?

Ah, yes. Most likely.

Shiraori did not understand why she blamed herself.

What truly could she had done to save them? She was only human - only mortal. Why did she insist on saving every last one? And blaming herself when she couldn't?

He was a lost cause. Why save him? He didn't want to be saved, so forget him. Why save his soul at the cost of her own?

Or was she a hypocrite?

Perhaps.

By helping Ariel... she was a hypocrite.

Ah. Oh well.

Still... she didn't understand.

...

What's selflessness?

Is it a disease?
