♥ Chapter 1: The High School♥

Winnie's POV

I watched from the shadows while the teacher was talking, nothing new to my ears, I was in my Biology class, Miss. Frey I think that's her name was busy teaching on the war that happened that lead to the joining of most creatures to live together.

My high school wasn't your normal high school, our school was designed to accommodate all types of creatures, no matter your type, you are always welcome to this high School.

Though my high school isn't normal, it was cliche as hell, since we're in Blood Moon Pack, We have more werewolves here.

Like now, the seating arrangements, at back we have the outcasts, which includes some vampires, a few other witches, warlocks, and some demon.

Up front we have the popular school sluts, the jocks, which consists of both werewolves and vampires, a few shape-shifters, some fairies, and that's it....I think?

You see this school is so big, I'm not sure how many creatures are here.

The bell that sweet bell.

"Okay class, make sure to submit your assignment due Wednesday" She says, I wait for everyone to leave the class before I do.

"Winifred?" She called out, I stopped and looked at her.

"Your test score, you got the highest in the class, here's your paper" she hands it to me, I shoved it into my bag and left class, next up Ap Calculus, I walk through the halls and head to Mr. Dexter, his our teacher, I know his a crush on Miss Frey, she's a nice lady.

I got to class and take a seat at the very back close to the windows.

"Okay let's settle down class, today we have a new student, Mr Blane?" A boy walks into the class he has dark hair, with hazel coloured eyes, his a vampire, not yet transformed, that's for sure, but a strong breed, but not a pure breed.

"Please introduce yourself to the class" Mr. Dexter says

"Okay, my name is Derek Blane, I'm a vampire, moved from Chicago down here, with my family" he finishes off with a smile.

"Okay, please take your seat" Mr. Dexter said, Derek glances through the class and takes the seat right next to me.

The lesson starts, and I felt someone staring at me and it was Derek, I meet his gaze and he spoke up

"Hi, I'm Derek, what's your name?" I just glared at him, hoping he would get the message.

"Hey what's up with the hoodie, you don't talk much do ya" he speaks up again.

"Derek, please pay attention and leave Miss Winifred, she doesn't talk much" Mr Dexter said to Derek.

"So what are you, Werewolf, Vampire, Fairy, witch?"

I just tilted my head to the side and ignore him

Ten minutes later

Hey, if you don't wanna talk at least, give me your number, so I can text you unless I won't stop  ~Derek

I glared at him and threw the paper away

One minute later

Still waiting ~Derek

I sighed and wrote my number down, I won't reply him, I threw the paper to him, trust me he'll leave once he gets to meet someone else.

The bell goes of today is the the first of my last year in High school, I can't wait for the year to end

The day ends, immediately I ran off the school, I've been avoiding Derek, his a pest, he didn't leave me, drawing so much unwanted attention.

I held my locket around my neck, it was her last gift she gave to me, before she died, I didn't take my car with me today, so I walk home, on my way I noticed I was being watched.

I stopped, I decided to take the forest trail, because it reminds me of her, I feel closer to her this way, I could have taken the bus or texted one of parents to pick me up.

I closed my eyes connecting to my surroundings, deep breaths, I feel the person boring holes into my back, I allow my magic to flow through my right hand, I forgot how go it was, it looked like a dark shadow was flowing through it.

I pointed towards where the person was, and with one snap the person falls to ground.

I was about drain... Derek? I stopped immediately and he got up and said

"Take it easy, I was just spying on ya" I glared at him which only makes him chuckles

"Okay so this is the way to your house, funny enough I leave just down the same street" I continue to walk ignoring him, he uses his super speed to block my way.

"Okay, look Winifred I'm not gonna let you go unless you say something" Seriously is he serious?

I use my powers to pick him up and throw him against a tree hard.

Finish him off

That evil voice spoke, this is why I don't use my powers, the clouds darken, I closed my eyes and took in deep breaths, I held my locket closer to me, soon the clouds return normal again, I noticed Derek was looking at me.

I just walk home leaving him there to think, this is why I stay away from people, this way I don't hurt them, it's safer this way.
