It seemed to be a normal day but for some reason everything felt tense. Like something was about to happen and something did. I was at school when everything started. I was heading out into the empty hallways since I had stayed after to work on a paper I had to write. As I was reaching my locker I heard a bunch of banging sounds coming from one of the classrooms, so I went to check it out. Before I could get to the door it was slammed open and a girl my age rushed out of it looking frantically about, her eyes landing on mine.

"You have to help me!" she pleaded and ran over to where I was standing.

As I looked at her I noticed the blood running down her leg and asked, "What happened? Here lets go to the nurses office and try to get you cleaned up."

She started to explain her story while I helped her hobble to the office. She said that she was in the classroom for detention and that a kid was banging on the door of the classroom so the teacher went to check it out. As he opened the door a kid launched at him from outside. She talked about how the kid had looked odd and how he killed the teacher.

Once we got to the office I handed her my phone and told her to call the police. Looking at the wound on her leg it looked like an infection had already started to take place but it was worse then what any infection I'd ever seen looked.

"Alright well the most I can do for you is clean it up a bit and wrap it so that it doesn't get anything else in it and to get the blood to start clotting." I said and grabbed something to try and clean it off.

As I started to wrap her leg I saw her hand drop to the side. I heard the policeman on the other side asking what happened as she dropped the phone onto the ground causing it to crack and go silent.

"What's wrong?" I asked looking up to be met with glassy eyes and pale skin.

I let go of the wrapping and backed up a bit. Watching as the girl slowly stood up and made a groaning noise. I backed up even further as she started wobbly coming towards me. She started to gain speed and practically tackled me onto the floor, knocking off a bunch of medical equipment as well from a table right next to me. I had my arm out holding her back from biting me as my forearm was pressed against her neck. I struggled for a minute but was eventually able to push her off me and rush to the door.

Getting out I slammed the door closed behind me and jumped when the girl slammed into it, still trying to get to me. My breath was heavy from the struggle but I decided that I needed to get out of there and booked it to the front door.

Slamming the doors open I rushed out, I kept running trying to get as far away from the school as possible. When I finally came to a stop I realized that I had been running towards my house. I needed to catch my breath just a bit so I just continued walking.

As I walked I heard a scream come from a street over. I knew I shouldn't go towards it after what I had just seen but it sounded like a young girl. I started to run again but towards where the scream came from. Turning the corner I saw a young girl running away from someone. I continued running trying to catch up to the little girl. As I passed by the woman chasing her I could tell that something similar had happened to her that happened to the girl at school.

When I was right next to her she tried to grab onto me but I sped by her focusing on getting to the girl.

"Hey!" I tried to call out to the girl and luckily she heard me and looked behind her.

"This way." I said finally catching up to her and grabbing onto her hand.

I started leading us back to my house but the girl was slowing down and the woman seemed to be catching up. I looked to see how much distance we had in-between us and came to a stop as I told the girl to get on my back. She listened and put her hands around my neck and legs around my waist to hold on.
