Hayden
I stood in front of the mirror, trying to decide on what to wear. Amanda sat on my bed because she wanted to help me. I haven't been on a date since I first started seeing Mason. Therefore I had no clue on what to wear, not that Colby made it any easier when he told me to dress nice.
"I literally hate everything I own." I groaned and turned to look at Amanda, I was getting more pissed by the second because we couldn't find anything to wear.
"What about this one?" Amanda said and pulled out a plain black dress with thin straps. I eyed it as Amanda held it up. "It's plane, but you could totally make it work with a pair of nice heels." I nodded and she handed me the dress.
I put on the dress and it looked great. It stopped just above my knees and it hugged my body perfectly. I smiled at myself in the mirror and turned to Amanda again who was now holding a pair of red high heels.
"I stand by this outfit." I smiled at her and she nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, this totally works." She said and we fist bumped, feeling like we won. Even though it was just an outfit.
Colby was going to be outside my apartment in approximately one hour, so I had to hurry up and do my makeup. Amanda decided to stay while I was doing my makeup.
"Are you exited?" She asked with a smirk, I playfully rolled my eyes at her.
"I think so, still kinda worried about all of this." I said as I put on my foundation. Amanda signed but nodded anyway. "It might seem dumb to you, but everything about this scares me." I sighed.
"It's not dumb, but I think you should give him a second chance. You shouldn't think about the past, it's only going to bring you down." She said and I looked at her through the mirror.
"I really need to start trusting people." I signed and Amanda chuckled with a nod.
"That would probably be a good change for you." She smiled at me. She had a point, I've been having trust issues for the longest time and I want to trust people, but my mind always yell run whenever someone gets close to me.
I finished up my makeup and I was happy about the result. I only made my eyeshadow a bit more extra since my outfit was kind of plane.
We small talked a bit more before there was a knock at our door, my heart started beating fast and I felt anxious about going on a date with him, but I also was happy that he even asked me.
I feel like I've been acting strange lately and the fact that he even want to go out with me again melts my heart. I grinned as I walked over to the door, I opened it and there stood Colby Brock. He had on black jeans and a white shirt. I scanned him as he did the same thing with me.
"You look lovely." Colby smiled and hugged me, I hugged him back with a wide smile.
"You too." I smiled at him as he let go of me, Colby chuckled and held out his hand which I gladly accepted. I closed the door behind me and we started walking to the garage where his car was parked.
We walked in silence until we got to the car, Colby opened the door for me and I got inside. He quickly went around and got inside the car himself.
"So, where are we going?" I asked him, Colby just looked over at me as he started the car, he didn't say anything. I sighed and shook my head, still won't tell me even though I hate surprises. "Alright, guess I just have to wait and see." I said and playfully rolled my eyes, he laughed and nodded.
"Yeah, I know you don't like surprises, but I still am not going to tell you." He winked at me as we drove out of the apartment complex, this time I was the one to laugh.
