It was close to the end of the school year, only 2 more days.
Lately I haven't seen midari lately. She told me that she was gonna gamble a lot because there's only a few days left of school. I didn't trust her with going on her own.
Usually I sat alone in class and listened to music.
I was sitting in class until a girl came up to me "hi um y/n midari would like to see you in the student council room" I was confused but still decided to head down to the room. When I went into the room it was dark and all you could see was the glow of the fish tank. Midari and kirari were sitting on a couches opposite of each other. "hello y/n sit down next to midari" I slowly walked over to the couch and sat next to her. "midari wanted you to be here with her to give her 'luck' "
I looked over at midari and there was a slight light pink on her cheeks after kirari said that. "come on! I wanna gamble already!" midari was almost jumping off the couch.
As the game went on I worried more. Midari was losing and it was like she was trying to lose.
After a while of gambling midari lost.
She was 1 billion in debt
"I can't pay that all!" kirari stood up " I've always wanted to know what it's like to take someone's life" midari smiled like crazy and stood up "YES YES YES I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!" I instantly started to cry because I knew I wouldn't stop midari from watch she wants. Kirari looked at me "midari, are you sure you would be okay with this?" midari nodded rapidly "I don't think your friend is okay with this" midari stoped smiling and jumping around and looked at me.
"y/n its gonna be alright, you know I've been wanting this" midari hugged me. I pushed her off of me and stood up. "I'll gamble to keep her alive" midari's eyes widened. "y/n no you don't have t-" "I'll gamble, we can do the game you and yumeko played. If I win midari lives if we tie you kill midari." kirari smiled "and what if I win?"
"then you kill both me and midari"
"no no no y/n no don't do that" midari started to panic
Kirari chuckled and had us follow her into the room yumeko and her were in for their first gamble. I was in yumekos spot and midari was the third person.
I picked a 10 facing up. Which was my points. Kirari chose a 15 up.
Midari just needs to pick a higher number that's up so that both of us could win.
Midari slowly walked around the ring. She looked terrified, she obviously didn't want me to die.
Midari suddenly stopped at one card. She looked up at me and then kirari then the card. She put her hand on it and slowly flipped it.
It was 20 facing up.
My eyes lit up with joy. I jumped over the ring and ran to midari to hug her. I was almost in tears. "wow you really care for me that much" I nodded. Midari hugged back after.
Kirari walked over to us "I know you don't gamble, it's because of personal reasons in guessing. Yet you still not only gambled but risked your life for midari" I glared at her. "yes I did. What about it" she smiled and walked next to midari. She faced the opposite way midari faced, she put her hand on midaris shoulder and looked her dead in the eyes. "keep her, she's good one" kirari walked off back to the student council room. And midari stood there in confusion on why kirari told her that. I walked over and hugged midari once more. "never try and get yourself killed again, I don't care if you want someone to kill you. I won't allow it!" I got really emotional at that moment. "a-alright" I was shorter than midaris. But not by much. It was a 3 inch different. After that me and midari walked to our last hour and went on with our day. "You need to think of other people midari. If you died then I would have no one other than yumeko" midari looked down upset "I didn't think you really cared for me" for a second I was shocked. "of course I care for you! Don't ever say that" midari sat on the front of a desk and I was leaning on that desk in front of her. She looked away from me blushing again. I chuckled and sat on the desk next to her. "only two days left" I smiled "then summer!" The bell rung which allowed us to go home, me and midari quickly dropped our stuff of at my house then we went to the park. Midari and I walked side by side down the path in the park. "The park here is so beautiful" I spun around with my arms out along the bath. As I was spinning I almost fell into the lake next to the path but I caught myself "you should probably stop spinning or you might fall " I chuckled and nodded "ya probably" we kept walking and eventually found a claimable tree. "midari we should climb up the tree and watch the sun set!" midari went up to the tree and started to climb. I was afraid of hights but I loved climbing trees. Most of the time midari helped me up the tree and we got to a really good branch we could both sit on without it breaking. "don't look down" when she said that I looked down immediately. "midari! You can't do that it makes me look down!" I clung onto midari because I was terrified of how high up we were. She just laughed at me but when I looked up at the sun set I was amazed. It was so beautiful and calming. When we tried to get off the tree it was dark. While trying to get down I missed a branch and fell. "midari!" midari got off before me so she caught me when I fell. "oh my god thank you for catching me! This is why I don't climb trees often" she put me down and we headed back to my house. Once we got there we got on my xbox and played some random games. But we eventually fell asleep.
In the morning I got up first so I just let midari sleep, I put on my head phones and started drawing
I felt midari get up and instantly stoped singing. "oh um- good morning" I gave an awkward smiled. I never liked people listening to me sing. "y/n you never told me you could sing!" I laughed awkwardly because again I didn't know how to react to people complimenting my singing.
After a while we went to school.
Nothing important really happened the last two days of school
But now
IT'S SUMMER!!!
