Weylyn's mother was a black wolf. She did a thing and a god blessed her, bleaching her fur white. She was pregnant at the time. The power the blessing gave her corrupted her mind. And when the baby was born with the blessing as well, she was jealous because the baby didn't do all the work she did to get the blessing. She tried to harm her son because she went mad from the blessing and then as punishment for trying to harm a child blessed by the gods, they trapped her in something. Weylyn can freeze stuff/control ice and can also turn invisible by using a mist of ice crystals to bend light around him. When he gets upset, he can cause the air around him to drop to subzero temperatures and a blizzard will start to form.
