I wake up to a loud banging on the door. Shit! I forgot about Phil! I quickly take my jacket off and unlock the door to let her in. "Hey, I'm really sorry... I fell asleep on the couch...". She turns around and looks at me. For a second I see the anger in her eyes, but she quickly dismisses it with a smile. "Oh! I'm really sorry for waking you up! I should've just used my key instead of almost breaking the door for 15 minutes!" "W-wait... 15 minutes?! That's a really long time... Are you sure you-" "I'm fine. Just go and get yourself ready for the meetup.". Shit... Now I really feel like an asshole. Why is Phil okay with the shit I do? She should go ahead and dump me, like every other girl I've dated.

15 minutes later, Phil comes down the stairs in a beautiful sleeveless sky blue dress, with like, a rope as a belt, and white sandals that also have a rustic feel to them. She also has a flower in her hair. "Wow. You look amazing, Phil." "Thank you!" She looks at what I'm wearing. "Are you wearing that to the meetup?" Phil asks. "Uh... Yeah? Is that okay?" "Yes! I've never seen you wear that shirt before. Is that the one from Russia?" "Yeah... I'm just gonna grab a jacket and we can go to the bar.". I grab my keys and a green jacket from my closet. We walk outside to the car.

"Hey, Do you know where the bar is?" Phil asks. "Yeah, I know where to go. The meetup always happens at the bar downtown." "Are you sure? Japan said something about going to a different bar." "I'm- I'm just gonna ask Canada where we're going." I open my phone and go to contacts. I quickly text Canada. "hey- do u know which bar the meetup's at?" "Yeah! We've decided to go to a different bar! Just head into town, and when you see the Starbringer Plaza, take a right, drive past the Greentown Cafe, and you'll find the bar!" "thanks for the directions...". I turn my phone off, only to see Phil with the smuggest look on her face. "Told you it was a different bar." "Whatever, let's just get there."

As I was driving there, I just kept thinking of Russia. Those weird texts he sent me. The note I found in my hoodie. All those times in the past where I just found myself staring at him. Admiring him. Wishing I could be like him. Wishing I could be with him... Could I really have a crush on him? I shake my head to clear my thoughts. "Stay faithful to your lady, America," I whisper to myself. We get there to find that we're the first ones to arrive. I look over to Phil, reapplying her make up. I turn on my phone and look through my Instagram feed. I see all these pictures of Canada and Ukraine. They're so happy with each other. I wish I could be as happy as my brother. I look up and see that a few of the European countries have arrived.

I step out of the car and unlock the passenger door. "Phil, you can go before me. I have a thing that I need to do." I tell her. "Okay.". I loiter outside, waiting for Russia to arrive. More Asian and European countries arrive, along with my brother and his boyfriend, Ukraine. "Heya, Canada." "Oh! America! I didn't notice you were already here!" he replies, with a big dumb smile on his face. "So, um... Why are you hiding in the bushes?" "I'm just... waiting for someone." "Okay! See you inside!"

A few minutes later, I see more and more countries arrive. I start to get worried. Is Russ not gonna be here? I wait for a few more minutes when I finally see him park his white pick up truck. I quickly run up to him, almost bumping into him. "H-hey, Russ...". He looks up from his phone. He looks... so... dead. "W-woke up on the wrong side of the bed? Heheheh... heh." Man, it's so terrifying talking to him. It feels like you're gonna explode when you say the wrong thing. All of a sudden, he smiles. "You showed up. I was scared you were going to chicken out of the party. Comrade, let's go inside."

This is so weird. He's never been this nice and cheerful. The last time I remembered him being this friendly was when we were still kids. "Hey, Russ- Why are you so happy?" "Oh, nothing. Just prepared to get wasted!" I think for a moment. "Alcohol makes you happy?" "Yeah! It's the only thing I like in life, next to weapons." Jeez, this guy's depressing. "Well, how about friends? Friends are good." "For me, Nah. I'm happy with being alone." I try to reach his hand, to, i don't know, make him feel better? "Ame! Save the hand holding for your girlfriend, cause it's time to get WASTED!"

We enter the bar to see the party's already in full swing. Russ passes me a beer. I sit down with my brother, Canada. "Are you sure you don't want to drink?" I ask him, nudging him at the side. "Nope! I want to make sure everyone gets home safely!" He says, beaming with confidence. "That's why I love you, Canada." I hear Ukraine say. "Heya, Ukraine... still obnoxious as ever. I'm going to sit with Russia," I say, a bit annoyed. "Please don't mind my brother, Ukraine. He's a bit grumpy."

I look around and see Ireland challenge everyone to a drink-off. Since we all agree that Ireland's a bitch, no one accepts. Except, of course, Russia. They both start CHUGGING shots of Vodka. It got REALLY intense. After Russia wins, he says something really weird. "Is it me, or is it the Vodka, cause America looks really hot." Then, he and everyone who was watching started laughing. Since I was already drunk, I just laugh along with them. Then, I got a weird feeling in my gut. It told me that Russia wasn't drunk. I look at him, and he looks as sober as ever. In fact, I've seen him drink 5 bottles of bourbon and still be able to walk. Did he really mean that, or is he just joking around?

After more shots and more craziness, I pass out.
