Jennie's pov

"Y-you own this place?", I said in utter shock.
"Yeah it was passed down to me when my~ you know we don't need to get into that. It's a family business though"
"That's really amazing to hear because my friend, Chae, she absolutely adores this place. She eats here almost everyday", I replied making eye contact with the girl seated at the booth.
"Well I love dedicated customers"
"You maybe want to sit with us? Only for a little while... if you want too", I offered.
"Ahh what the heck why not I still have time", She said glancing at her silver watch.
I gave her one of my best smiles and went back towards Chae. Y/n followed me and sat when I sat.
"So Chaeyoung I hear you love this bakery?", Y/n immediately spoke out giving my friend an adorable grin.
"Yes very much so", Chaeyoung said with a nod.
"It seems like you can meet the owner after all. Your dream came true"
"Oh my god. You're the owner?!?", She gasped and looked like she was about to faint.
"I sure am, I don't get why people get so surprised"
"It's probably because you're so young and... beautiful", I said stuttering the last part out.
Y/n's face went beet red and she put a hand over her face to hide from embarrassment.
"Well Well is the Jennie Kim flirting?", Chaeyoung teases with a playful smirk.
Now it was my turn to be embarrassed. I lightly kicked Chae's leg from underneath the table. She glared at me and whispered a small "ouch".
"Hey guys, I'm sorry to leave in a hurry. But I have plans with a friend", Y/n suddenly said looking at her watch again.
"Oh yeah no worries, go ahead", I said totally understanding.
"It was very nice to meet you Chaeyoung", She said as she gave Chae a handshake.
"It was an honor to meet you as well", Chaeyoung replied.
"I'll text you later, okay?", Y/n directed her attention to me then leaned over the table and placed a soft kiss on my cheek.
I just nodded at her asked question. I held my left cheek and felt it start to burn up. She then left out of the bakery's doors and once she did, Chaeyoung's head whipped around. She looked at me with raised eyebrows.
"What was that all about huh?"
"She's the girl from the beach", I said staring down into my mug of coffee.
"Holy shit! That was her?!?"
"Could you calm down?", I giggled as I took as sip from the mug.
"You seriously need to marry that girl"
"You just want me too because she owns this place", I retorted with a scoff.
"That's the first reason, but the second one is that she's extremely nice and charming. And did you see her all like "I need to go" as she looked at her watch?", Chaeyoung said mimicking Y/n's movements from moments ago.
"What's your point?"
"No one really wears watches anymore let alone use them, they usually look at they're phones for the time"
"I have no clue where you're getting at", I said with confusion written all over my face.
"She's old fashioned, those are the keepers. You know the gems of the world, frosting to a cake, the~"
"I get what you're saying Chae", I laughed cutting her off.
"And that peck on the cheek she gave you... my god does she have one hell of an affect on you, Kim"
"She does not", I said baffled.
"You practically creamed your pants", Chaeyoung said laughing out loud.
"Yeah whatever, choke on your sandwich"

Y/n's pov

I really saw Jennie at my bakery, out of all places she was at. I'm honestly glad I ran into her since I didn't know what terms we were on or let alone think she even liked me. But today proved it, the way she blushed and giggled was a dead giveaway and I'm not complaining about it. I was on my way to Lisa's house to help her babysit Jisoo's dog, Dalgom. Jisoo's dog never liked Lisa but Jisoo always thinks it's funny when Dalgom tries to attack the tall girl. I parked in front of Lisa's apartment and got out. Her apartment was at in the bottom floor so it was right next to the busy street.
"Hey Lis! I'm here", I said knocking on her door.
I heard someone scrambling to the door and I saw the handle turn.
"Thank heavens. Y/n help me!", She yelped from the floor as I looked inside to see Dalgom tugging on Lisa's pant leg.
"Wow that dog really hates you", I laughed and walked right past a pleading Lisa.
Dalgom soon let go of her leg and hopped on the couch instantly sitting on my lap.
"What the fuck? That dog is bipolar I swear", Lisa huffed limping towards the couch and plopping down on it.
"It's not the dogs fault, it's yours"
"What did I do?", She said getting defensive.
"You aggravate him"
"What how?!?"
A ding from my phone interrupted Lisa from speaking any more, hallelujah.
"Hold that thought", I said putting my finger up and checked my phone.
It was Jennie. I told her I would text her but it's a relief she did it first because I don't have the balls too. I clicked on her message as Lisa whined, having a temper tantrum on the couch.
I read the message and every part of me lit up and a smile cascaded across my face.
Want to go out tomorrow?, is what she said. I replied with an obvious yes. Why would I pass up a date with a gorgeous girl like her? She responded faster then I did and said 'Okay great see you then :)' I love when girls use those smiley faces, it gets me all giddy.
"Hey pay attention to me! You and that damn phone!", Lisa shouted snatching it out of my hand.
"Give it back you cyclops!", I yelled as she held my phone up in the air.
I jumped to grab it but it was no use, she's too tall. She ran down the hall and came back within a minute or two.
"Ah texting little ol' Jennie I see"
"Just give it", I said and she threw it.
Suprisingly I caught it and made sure Lisa didn't text Jennie anything stupid. Oh thank god she didn't.
"So how's it going with her?"
"Stay out of my personal life, stegosaurus", I seriously said sitting back down on the comfy couch.
"Stop! That dinosaur phase was forever ago"
"It may have been but it's forever imbedded in my mind", I laughed while patting Dalgom on the head.
"Hmm maybe I can ask Jennie out if she only said 'want to go out tomorrow' ,doesn't really shout out date does it?", Lisa scowled playfully as she tested me.
"Dalgom! Sick her!", I jokingly said but this dog obeyed and jumped off of my lap ready to chomp Lisa's leg again.
"Damn you Y/n!", Lisa screamed as she ran throughout her apartment trying to get away from the dog.
"I think I might head out you seem a little busy"
"Don't you dare leave me!", She yelled from the kitchen.
I walked over to see what action was happening. I saw Lisa proped up on the kitchen counter as Dalgom jumped and barked at her.
"Oh poor Lisa boo hoo", I laughed while pointing at her.
"This is a serious crisis and your cracking jokes"
"I only came to make sure Dalgom wasn't dead... or you. And it seems as though both of you are alive and getting along well so my duty is done"
"Y/n please don't go", Lisa begged again sounding as if she was going to cry.
"You offered to watch her dog", I said pulling my keys out from my pocket and heading towards the door.
"She forced me too!"
I walked out the door completely ignoring the yelling girl. All I could hear as I left was my name being projected from the apartment building.
"She'll be fine", I giggled while putting my keys in the ignition.
I drove off and suddenly the brown haired girl came into my thoughts. I was going to see her tomorrow, I was going to witness that gummy smile again. I should get home and get a good nights rest to be totally refreshed. I have no clue if she wants to go out in the morning, the afternoon, or at night? Should I ask? No. Maybe she'll tell me tomorrow before hand? Of course she will, I'm just overthinking this whole thing. What the hell am I going to wear? Should I be casual or formal? I really hate what this woman is doing to me but what can I say, I love the rush it's giving me. Before I could even realize, I was parked in the driveway of my house. I quickly slammed my car door and rushed inside my front door. Tossing my keys on my nightstand once I got into my room. I slumped down onto the bed and looked at the time. Around nine at night. Was I really at Lisa's for that long? Completely and utterly ridiculous. An idea popped into my head and before I know it I was typing 'Goodnight' to the girl I will see later on. Not going to lie, Jennie was a fast responder, but what she typed made my heart flutter.
Goodnight love 💕
There's only one word I could say right now and that is... Damn.
