"I'm sorry but we're not hiring right now ma'am, please come ask another time." Said the store clerk.

"Well, thank you anyway." I thanked the old store clerk and walked out the door.

*Grrrr* my stomach was growling, I haven't eaten in four days, I had no money to buy any. I tried to steal something, but the cops always managed to catch me before I could escape. I mean, I guess the optimistic way of thinking about this is that I'll lose some weight. I've always been a little chunky, so it may not be such a bad thing. "GOD this sucks!"

I decided to try a few more shops down this street then find a box in an alley to sleep in.

I went to a little diner and asked the lady at the counter if she had any positions, but she said she just hired someone. Then I tried the bakery, but they were apparently a family business and didn't hire anyone outside their family, then I tried the flower shop. I was in agriculture and FFA before I dropped out so I knew a thing or two about plants. Sadly, her store wasn't making enough money to hire anyone.

After my endless searching for a job that turned out to be futile, I decided to find an ally that I could sleep in.

It took forever to find a decent ally, it seemed like gangsters were in every single one of them. I managed to find a pretty quiet one and I walked down it to try and avoid the light, I never could sleep if there was light. It was cold, you tried to hug your jacket around your body but it didn't work. Down the ally you saw a door that was cracked open, it emitted light and warmth, It even smelt like food. You licked your dry cracked lips and peered through the cracked door to see a kitchen and only one person in it who's back was faced towards you. This was the perfect chance for you to steal some food. You began to open the door slowly, and when you got it open just enough to where you could fit, you slipped in and hid behind the counters. You were looking, but they weren't making much food, only enough for two plates. As you were about to grab one of the plates you hear a mans voice coming from what you assumed was the dining area. "Yes I'll get them sir." Oh no, he must be coming for the plates. You decided to at least try to steal the garlic bread off one of the plates so you could put something in your stomach. But as soon as you got up and placed your hand on the bread, the doors slammed open. And what you saw was no human, but a monster. It was a fish with robotic legs. And he saw you with your hand on this dish he was supposed to bring out.

"Eh, boss, " He hollered back. "We got a problem."

With those words out of his mouth, you darted out the door you came in with the bread in hand. You kept running and running till you were out of breath. "I made it, I can finally eat something."

"I don't think so little lady."
You instantly turned around to see the fish guy again. "You're coming with me."  With that, he punched you square in the face, knocking you out, then carried you back to the restaurant.

When you regained conscience, you saw a giant zombie dog thing watching you intently from across the room. "She's awake."
Who's he talking to? You wondered. Then you heard heavy metal steps coming towards you. You turned your head to see a man in full metal armor. What did you get yourself into now? Was he going to kill you for stealing his food? You were absolutely terrified.

"Who do you think you are stealing my food girl?" I couldn't speak, I was petrified. "I said, who are you? Do you know who I am?"
