"Benjie! Are you going to school?" Caleb asked which Benjie gave him a nod as an answer. 2 days before the first day of school, Benjie enrolled himself at Lightwood University. And it's been 2 weeks since he moved here at his apartment. And he knew it, talking to Caleb isn't that bad. Maybe he is not just used to it, that a person talks to him like they knew each other for years already.

"Why are you living with yourself only anyways? Where are your parents?" That's not a good question for Benjie.

"They died in a plane crash." Caleb gasped upon hearing Benjie's answer. The atmosphere got very awkward and quiet.

"S–sorry..." Benjie just chuckled and nodded.

"It's alright." He said. 'It is alright but I got broken once again after 2 weeks of recovery.' Benjie uttered in his mind.

"H–hey... I didn't mean to– I'm sorry." Caleb tried to comfort Benjie by rubbing his back but it didn't worked.

"I wonder how can you manage being optimistic as that. And..." Caleb gave Benjie a waiting look.

"And what?" Benjie took a small glance at the Chinese boy and wiped his cheeks.

"Friendly." The older boy just giggled.

"I'm really lonely since I was born. I mean, I have no siblings. And I don't really have friends way back at school. All of the people who lived here left because of me. They were all afraid of me. That's why I like you. You're different from them. Because you stayed. And you aren't afraid of me. Can you see it? You're talking to me like I am really alive." Benjie smiled.

He really knew it, Caleb is a kind person. But there's this unknown feeling tickling his heart. He wants to figure it out but he just don't know how.
