'Did you talk to Evanna , honey ?' Joseph asked Rae.
'Yeah' she mumbled quietly.
Standing there at the airport Rae felt very nervous. Rae Brooks had never ever visited any other country before this . She didnt know know how would a foreign life seem like , yet she had gathered her every broken hope and dared to endeavour this. But she was scared.... she didnt know what was scaring her . It was just the little pieces of hope she held...but her heart still ached.
*3 weeks ago*
'Morgan , sweetheart , you got to understand , let Rae go . She wants to do something on her own. She wants to stand out!' Joseph half-screamed. He was trying his best to support his daughter .
'But , why ? Holy why ? Dont we have good universities here , Stanley ? U.O.V ? Why England ,eh?' Morgan said.
'Thats not the thing ! Oxford ! Honey , its Oxford . Rae has a chance to go to the University Of Oxford !' Joseph said in defence.
Rae and Noah stood there , hearing their parents argument. All they wished was anyway to get their mom convinced .
'So ?!?! So what if Oxford ! Which Victor Hugo can your useless daughter become, useless thing ?' Morgan screamed.
Rae's heart ached by her mothers underestimation of herself.
Joseph also looked displeased with Morgan's perception.
'But....' Morgan again said.
Rae looked at her mother with hope now .
Glancing at Rae , Morgan said , 'But yeah , it'd be a good idea to get rid of this worthless girl. Atleast I wouldnt have to bear her shits. Looking at her face , ruins my mood. Yuk . Scum'. With that Morgan walked away .
Rae face held a hurt expression. Morgan's words had truly hurt Rae . It had pierced Rae's heart. At that moment she knew , she had to stand out..........
*Now*
'Still hurt about Morgan's thing ?' Joseph asked his daughter . He knew the answer , it was obvious.
'No' ,Rae said it, though she didnt mean it .Rae tried to end that conversation.
'Ummmm,, nervous ?' Joseph tried to continue it.
Nervousness could be seen in Rae's face. Joseph wabted Rae to feel more confident rather than this. But he didnt know how to motivate her anymore. Maybe Evanna could......
'Rae , do you need anything ? To drink maybe?' Rae's little brother Noah asked her.
The past few days , Joseph and Noah had done every possible thing to keep Rae motivated. They wanted her to be more confident. They wanted to see her strong , but right now was vice versa .
"FLIGHT NO.9816 , LAS VEGAS TO ENGLAND READY TO GO, PLEASE PROCEED FROM GATE NO.1 . "
Rae knew this was her moment. The moment when she had a chance to enhance.
