Chapter 3: W A I T I N G

As time passed by. They both became busy with their work.

"Maam Cami, can you check these documents?" A girl approached Camiah with a pile of documents. 

"No problem, just place them at my office," Camiah said while walking to the conference room because all of the head editors are having a meeting.

On the way to the conference room, Cami bumped onto someone, "WATCH WHERE YOU GOING!" Her greatest enemy and the antagonist of her life, Amber Sandoval angrily shouted.

Camiah rolled her eyes, avoid Amber and entered the conference room. 

"I hate her dramas," she said to herself. 

 Camiah is a head editor of the magazine department alongside her friends Vanessa and Mina on a publishing company while Amber is the editor of the Feature department. 

"I know that face! You saw the sea urchin right?" Vanessa asked Cami. "What else could it be?" Mina answered before Cami does. Camiah just sighed and seat.

"Sir Shawn, please review these documents." His assistant said while handing a folder to Shawn. "Thank you, you may go." 

"And sir, you have a meeting at 10 am with the investors coming from Birki corp." 

"Okay." He said and sighed as his assistant got out. He's on training but his uncle already giving him headaches because of the meeting with the investors.

Shawn is on training to be the next CEO of his uncle's branch of a wine company in the Philippines. He had no choice. He is the only one who has the capabilities of becoming a CEO on their family. 

He is reviewing the documents his assistant gave him when he got a call from his buddy.

"Hey bro! You free tonight?" his friend asked from the line.

"Nah. Stuck with work."

"Oh, men! Chris is bugging me to invite you."

"Sorry, I'm busy right now bro."

"Don't worry. Just gonna tell them. Bye!"

Shawn sighed and continued to review the documents.

Camiah and her team were working on a magazine and there are minor complications, that's why she was so focused on her work.

"Cami! We're going home. You should go home to." Vanessa said. 

"I will. I'll just finish this. Be careful on your way home."  She said and waved her hand to Vanessa and Mina.

She barely had lunch and dinner because when she got home she was so exhausted to eat.

One time, Camiah felt something was wrong, something is missing. She keeps on checking her phone. Browse her Instagram and shut her phone, and again repeat.

She didn't notice that she was like waiting for someone. Isn't she?

*Camiah's mind: Why does Shawn hasn't even chat since yesterday?*

She realizes what she was thinking and she was like, "Why the hell I am thinking of him? Am I waiting for him to message me? Like we are not even close."

Shawn picked up his phone to check his planner on his phone and he notices the Instagram app. 

Shawn was waiting for Camiah's message, "Should I chat her? Or maybe not? What if she will get annoyed? I always message her."

He was out of his mind thinking if he will message her or not. He wants to know how she had been.

*Camiah's typing: Uh hey. How are you?...*

She stops typing and removes the message, "What are you thinking Camiah? Are you out of your mind?", she asks herself and she suddenly heard her ringtone. There is a notification.

@shawn_thesheep: Hey! How are you? It's been 2 days. Sorry I've been busy these past days.

@shawn_thesheep: You know training and stuff.

Camiah was stunned. She didn't expect to receive a message coming from him. She immediately replied.

@camiahxoxo: Yeah, me too. We're working for a magazine.

@camiahxoxo: Well, I'm fine. How about you?

@shawn_thesheep: I am also fine, just tired of this training.

@camiahxoxo: What training? Like sports stuff? Are you an athlete or something?

@shawn_thesheep: Hahaha no, more like office stuff. I've been on my 2nd year of training to be a CEO. Yeah, what a bothering work.

Camiah was surprised. A CEO? Cool! She knew that was a really tough thing to do.

@camiahxoxo: Woah. Anyway, good luck with your training Mr.Future CEO.

@shawn_thesheep: Hey, don't call me that. It's so embarrassing you know and awkward.

@camiahxoxo: Okay, okay Mr. Future CEO hahahahaha.

@shawn_thesheep: I guessed, I shouldn't have told you.

@camiahxoxo: I'll stop hahaha sorry.

@shawn_thesheep: Nah, it's fine. But are you really okay now?

@camiahxoxo: Well, still no but yeah I'll continue to do my stuff. I'll just focus on my work.

@shawn_thesheep: I'll gotta go.

@camiahxoxo: Me too, Good luck again on your training.

@shawn_thesheep: You too on your magazine.

Camiah was smiling and she didn't even notice it. She continues her work with a curve forming on her lips. So that's what makes her day complete, it was Shawn all along.
