She woke up, looking at a white ceiling. Her vision blurred and she heard telephones and the clicking of computer keys. "She's awake!" A female's voice sounded.
Dusk sat up in the bed. Oh God, I am in a hospital. She thought as her room was filled with doctors. She saw some reporters outside her hospital room.
"Dusk Velvet?" A wrinkly white-haired man asked, coming in with a clipboard. "Yeah- what's it to you?" She retorted, glaring at the man.
"Have you been aware that you have been missing and considered dead for the past year?" He asked, writing something on his clipboard.
"Yeah. Yes, and- is there a bathroom somewhere?" Dusk needed to get out. She was dead, she was a ghost so she needed to find a closed room and escape.
"Yes, just a few more questions, the police need to interview you." The man said, leaving the room. She heard reports shouting questions. "ARE YOU THE ONE WHO MURDERED YOUR TWIN SISTER AND FAMILY?"
Dusk shot a cold stare at the reporter. "Me? Kill my sister and mother? ARE YOU CRAZY!?" She stopped when she realized she was shouting.
She looked at her hands and took a deep breath. Last thing she was doing was about to walk into the club to warn her sister about something. . . then she was hit on the back of the head with a rock or something.
She started panicking, what happened to her. Was all the stuff that happened in the past year a dream? A policeman walked in and shut the door. "Were you the one who killed your sister and family? Where did you hide your sister's body? Why did you kill them?" The policeman asked, pulling out a pen.
"I did not kill me family. My sister was with me before I was knocked out. I didn't hide me sister's body because she is alive- like me. I have no alibi to kill me family. I loved them." She sobbed, giving an accusing glare at the policeman. She had the fate of what her family's history would be done in her hands. "The killer was tall, he had red hair and he wore. . . red clothing. He just killed them and me and my sister ran."
The policeman scribbled something in his notebook. I wonder if I can disappear. She thought. She imagined herself disappearing. Nothing happened, her fingertips faintly disappeared. They must have put my on some medication.
A nurse brought in some food. "Here you go." She said and smiled. She lingered at the hospital bed for a few moments. "Well? What are you gonna say?" Dusk asked, shoving some bacon in her mouth. "My little girl, Anna, she loved looking into your case. . . she was in a car crash. She said she saw a tall figure wearing a black suit walk into the middle of the road." The nurse said, biting her lip.
