Meanwhile
"Everton?" A hint of a doubt from the older man with the Cuban cigar, "Of all places, why?"
"Um..." The young man is lost for words.
"I have eyes scouting the Mexican border; think she might have skipped town to find refuge with our neighbors down south. Why should I believe anything you say?"
Thinking for a minute, the younger man replies, "They're looking in the wrong place; she is only fourteen. Someone must've been helping her."
"I know the brat is capable of being independent, you idiot. And besides, all you say is just theory. I want proof; I want pictures. And while you're at it, try not to be so heartless when you get rid of civilians that get in your way."
"Excuse me, sir?"
"Your little attempt to get rid of people, isn't very clever, boy, its very suspicious and I won't have you leaving all the loose ends linked to me; you tie them up yourself," The man with the Cuban cigar paused, "I want 3 people dead. But since I can't find the other two, I'd have to settle for just one instead. So find me the girl."
Quietly, the man on the other line waited before he spoke up, full of intuition and long thinking, "I know what I'm doing, sir. Trust me."
