Family, Conflict and A New Love

She engulfed me in a bear hug. It was filled with warmth and love, I treasured the hug so much. It was the first hug I've gotten form anyone. Not even my friends back home used to hug me.

"Mum?" I started crying, I don't know why.

"Oh my dear Sonia, words cannot describe how much we have missed you." My mother cried.

I broke away from the hug and looked at the rest of my family. My father pulled me into a hug, nearly crushing my bones.

"Father..." I was crying harder now.

"Sonia, I swear to you I will never let anyone take you away from us again." he was sobbing as well.

My older brother looked on the verge of tears as he smiled down at me. My younger siblings looked emotional but not happy as such, I wouldn't expect it since they were born after my disappearance.

"Nicklaus." I said as I pulled him into a hug. When I first pulled him in for the hug he stiffed but then relaxed and hugged me back.

I looked towards my younger brother and sister and smiled down at them. then I motioned for them to hug me, they obliged and I engulfed them both in a warm hug.

"Mother, father. Nicklaus, Kol and Katerina. Even though I do not remember you. I feel as though I am one again. Like the piece of me that has been missing is finally back." I said a I smiled at them with tears rolling down my face.

"Sonia. When I was younger I wished you were here. Now that your here I don't know what to say." Katerina said looking down.

I took her face in my hands and said to her "my dear sister, you do not have to say anything. I should have been there to be the best big sister ever." I smiled at her, she grinned back and gave me a quick hug.

"Kol, Nicklaus, I hope I can get along with you both so that I can be the best sister for you." I said to them smiling.

They smiled back and nodded.

My mother and father were still crying the tears of joy as they watched the scene. I hoped they liked me.

"Sonia we will let you stay for a while and get used to the realm here. we understand that you have been brought up in the human realm." my father said.

"Thank you dad." I said smiling, I glanced at Drake, he looked pleased for some reason but I just let it slide.

"Well now we know you are safe we will leave and let you settle down. we will be back in a few weeks to collect you and take you home." My mother said then kissed me on the cheek.

"Goodbye mother, see you soon." I said hugging her again.

"Goodbye all of you. I shall be seeing you soon." I said you the rest of my family and smiled at them as they left.

A tear role down my cheek but I quickly wiped it away.

"So, Sonia, what would you like to do first?" Drake asked.

I grinned.

"I wanna try out my powers."
