Jess's POV
"What are you doing?" I asked Jared.
"This box arrived in the mail today, it's from your sister." Jared said as he took a knife and cut the box open.
"We haven't talked in years." I said to myself.
"Look, here's a note that says it's for Amber." Jared handed me the note.
I read it to myself.
Amber,
I went over to mom's today and I got a lot of your high school memories that you never bothered to come and get. There is a lot of cool things in this box, I hope you enjoy looking through them!
Mom misses you. I miss you too, Am. Give me a call sometime and we will catch up, I miss talking to you sis! It's been so long!
Love you,
Abby
A tear slipped from my eyes as I handed Jared the letter.
"Baby, what's wrong?" Jared asked me.
"My mom. My sister. I haven't talked to them in so long. She said that she misses me." I choked out.
"Oh Jess, it's okay." Jared hugged me. "Maybe you should take her up on her offer and give her a call, maybe it'll be good for you." He suggested.
I wiped the tears from my eyes and smiled, "Maybe."
"But first let's look through this box of your high school years." Jared smiled and grabbed the box.
We went into the living room and sat down on the fuzzy rug and I took out my senior year yearbook.
"I had the biggest crush on this guy," I giggled as I pointed out a picture of him.
"Dave Smith? The quarterback? Really Jess?" He asked me.
"Yeah, everyone liked him." I laughed.
"I never thought of you as the girl who likes the quarterback." Jared laughed.
"I'm more of a 'sexy rockstar with really good abs and is great in bed and is caring and loving and gives the best kisses in the world' kind if girl now." I smirked at him.
"Thanks Jess." He smiled and leaned over to kiss me.
"You thought I was talking about you?" I asked him. "I was talking about Shannon!" I laughed.
His eyes widened as he reached over and grabbed me by my waist.
"To hell you're not." He growled in my ear.
"And what if I am?" I whispered back daringly.
"Then I'm going to tickle you!" He laughed and started tickling me.
I rolled on the floor laughing as he tickled my stomach.
"Jared!" I gasped, still laughing. "I'll never talk about Shannon like that again!" I laughed, still being tickled.
"Promise?" Jared asked laughing.
"Promise!" I squealed.
He stopped tickling me and I sat up to catch my breath.
"I love you too much to even think about Shannon." I smiled and kissed his cheek.
"Come on, let's finish looking through this box." Jared replied and kissed my cheek.
I saw my report card sitting on the bottom and I grabbed it, looking through my grades.
It read:
World History: 100%
Trigonometry: 101%
Calculus: 100%
AP Biology: 102%
AP Advanced Writing: 100%
Music- Piano: 101%
Physical Education: 102%
AP Child Development: 100%
I showed Jared my report card and his jaw dropped.
"I knew you were smart but never knew you were a fucking genius!" He exclaimed.
"I've told you before that I did well in school," I said casually.
"But not 4.2 GPA well!" Jared replied and pointed to where my GPA was listed.
"School has always come easily to me..." I shrugged.
"How in the holy hell do you a 101% in trigonometry?" He asked me, baffled.
"Well for starters, I was one of the very few people who did my homework and showed up to class." I smiled.
"So you were 'Miss Goody Goody'?" Jared teased.
"Not anymore..." I smirked and rested my hand on his crotch.
"Oh I know," He growled and kissed my lips.
"Jared, I don't feel good." I said suddenly, a wave of nausea had hit me.
"Let's go lay down, maybe you'll feel better after resting."
I nodded as Jared picked me up and carried me to our bedroom. He set me down in the bed and went over to the curtains and closed them.
He climbed in the bed with me and pulled me close to him.
"I hope you feel better, baby." He whispered into the dark room.
"Me too." I whispered back.
Jared's POV
I woke up before Jess and looked at the time, 7:00 pm. We had slept for 4 hours. I tapped Jess softly and whispered in her ear to wake up.
She didn't move.
I put my whole hand on her and rubbed her back, saying her name a little louder.
She didn't respond.
"Jess!" I said louder, more concerned.
She didn't move.
I grabbed my phone and I dialed 911.
