Cool breeze flowing through your hair, you look out to see the wonderful view surrounding you. Fragrant berry trees with the wonderful aromatic scent of flowers wafting through the air. Rows of Bellossom and Vileplume are dancing and playing throughout the field of flowers along with your pokemon.

'Haha, the Vileplume reminds me of Jessebelle's!'

Thinking and giggling to yourself, you reminisce of moments when you and your childhood Jessebelle would play in huge flower fields like this. Turning to your Bellossom, you talk to her about it.

"Remember playing with Jessebelle and her Oddish in fields like this Bellossom?"

"Bell!"

"That brings back a lot of memories. Jessebelle is now James's fiance now isn't she..."

Your mind immediately changes gears to think about James, your other childhood friend that you would play with since you would tag along with Jessebelle. Wondering what he's up to right now, you remember him and his best friend Growlithe.

'The last that I heard of him is when he ran away from home. Though I heard he's part of Team Rocket now... Not that it makes me stop liking him any less.'

Looking over to your Pokemon, you see your own Arcanine playing with Bellossom. The playful scene brings you joy as you smile.

'We both had Growlithes that would play with each other too... I wonder what James is up to now.'

Ever since you were little and when Jessebelle introduced you two, you grew to have a crush on James. His airhead nature and kindness towards his Pokemon made you like him even more. On lucky occasions you were able to sneak him out of the mansion to play together.

"Those were such good times. Hm?" 

Interrupting your thoughts, you see that your pokemon are all gathered in one area, almost like looking at something, at a lone tree in the distance. 

"Strange, what could they be looking at?" 

Getting up from your seated position, you make your way to the commotion. Legs sweeping through the tall grass and flowers, gaining closer to the scene, you hear faint cries of a pokemon in pain. Now understanding the situation, as you arrive your pokemon make way for you. Squatting, you gently have your hand out to communicate with the sick Mime Jr.

"It's okay, I'm here to help you." Communicating with a soft and gentle voice, the Mime Jr. gazes at you for a few seconds and weakly smiles, nodding its head. Carefully cradling the Mime Jr. in your arms, you feel heat emanating from it.

"Poor thing, you have a high fever. Don't worry, I'll help. Arcanine, could you go with Bellossom to gather some berries? I saw a few trees back where we were at."

They both nod their head and Arcanine dashes fast with Bellossom riding on top of its back. You look around you and see a little lake a few meters away. 

"Blissey, can you stay with Mime Jr.? Glaceon and I are gonna fetch some ice quickly."

Smiling and nodding, you give Mime Jr. to be under Blissey's care for a bit. As you and Glaceon walk to the lake, the both of you could hear your Altaria singing for the weak pokemon along with Leafeon's grass whistle accompanying it. After taking a bit of time getting ice, you and all your pokemon meet under the tree as Arcanine and Bellossom come back with a ton of berries and some fruit.

"There, some ice, and mixed berry juice." Feeding some to the Mime Jr. slowly, a small smile rests on its face as it peacefully drifts back to sleep. Calming the Mime Jr. down, you continue cradling the pokemon.

Resting for a few minutes, Arcanine perks up and looks off into the distance.

"What is it boy?" 

Gazing to where he's looking you hear some faint noises. They suddenly get louder and you can recognize the voice as it gets closer and closer. 

"*huff huff huff* Hopefully this helps Mime Jr. get better, Jessie and Meowth are off doing other stuff geez they could've helped a bit. Huh?"

Also recognizing the voice and person, Arcanine runs towards James and begins licking his face joyfully. 

"Huh? An Arcanine?" Looking around, James spots you and your pokemon and makes a dash towards you, but proving useless as your Arcanine just scoops him up and has him riding on his back.

Smiling and grinning, your Arcanine brings James to sit in front of you and he sees that you've been taking care of his Mime Jr. "(Name)... It's been so long... Did you help Mime Jr.?"

Nodding while blushing faintly, a smile grows on James's face. "So you remember me?" You shyly ask quietly, making sure that you don't awaken Mime Jr. 

"Of course I do! Do you think I would forget you (Name)?! We used to play together and sneak out too!" James whisper shouts. You giggle and smile.

"I'm glad you remember... So how's it with you and Jessebelle? You two are engaged aren't you?"

"Oh, I don't like her, so I told my parents about how I want to break off the engagement. We're not fiances anymore." 

"What? But your parents, don't they want you to marry? They were pretty strict about that too!" Blushing himself, James turns to you and looks at you seriously.

"I told them that someone else has been occupying my heart. They understood, and Jessebelle did as well."

Nervous, yet a bit sad, you wondered who James likes. Who could it be that has been on his mind and in his heart? So you decided to ask him straightforwardly. "Um, so who's the lucky girl?"

Taking a deep breath, James inhales, then exhales, then opens his mouth to form words you thought you'd never hear.

"She's done so much for me. Playing with me whenever she can, having a Growlithe and raising one with me, helping me sneak out to enjoy and take a break from lessons, always healing my pokemon when they were in danger, and healing my pokemon even now. The only person that could occupy my heart, to smile and care for me even though you probably already know that I'm part of Team Rocket, is you. (Name), I like you."

Hot tears of joy gathering around the corners of your eyes, you smile and lean your forehead over so that it's touching his. "How long has it been since I wanted to hear those words. James, I like you too, ever since we were kids."

Grinning, he brings his hand to the back of your head. "I'm glad we feel the same!" With that, he kisses you gently and pulls away to wipe the tears from your face away.

We started off as childhood friends, and now we're an official couple.

"Wait, so how did your parents and Jessebelle really react when you said you were going to break off the engagement?

"Oh, that. They told me that they knew that I like you. They did that so that I could actually gather up the courage to confess to you."

"... Those three are masterminds I swear. Maybe they're secretly a part of Team Rocket?" You joke around.

"(Name), you're the only girl I know that would joke about innocent people being part of Team Rocket." He sweatdrops.
