We have established that Anna like to talk already, haven't we? The second we drove out of the parking lot, she was ready to chat.

"I didn't know you were friends with Deanna Marie" She said. "She flipped out at a party last year.

Like, she FLIPPED out. I'm not sure what happened but the rumor is that she caught Trent in a room with Hannah Pratt, a week after they broke up.

She hasn't talked to any of us since. She doesn't even eat lunch with us. I think she goes to the art room." Anna continued.

"We became friends over the summer and she's in my ceramic's class." I said to her. She clearly wasn't suspicious of anything more than a friendship between us. I just was to get the hell out of that car. She didn't let me talk until right as we pulled into the stadium parking lot.

The game was boring. I was stuck in the concessions stand with two teachers. The only thing good about being in there is that it's warm compared to the cold September weather. We don't really get a nice fall there. It just goes straight to cold because it's so close to the water. Our team won though.

We beat the Minglanilla's Ponies. Yes, that is actually a high school and then it has always made me laugh.

I drove home alone because Anna went to a party after the game. When I got home, My mom decided to try to talk to me about college.

She said the Coach Jen had talked to her about a few scouts coming to look at me in the beginning of the season. She asked me why I hadn't talk to her about doing that before.

Honestly, I had never thought of it as a possibility. Coach Jen hadn't said anything to me about it before she talked to my Mom. It was just out of the blue.

After I finally was able to get upstairs, I decided to call Deanna like she had told me. I wasn't sure if she was being serious or not but I wanted to talk to her so I just did it.

The phone rang twice. I was sitting in my computer chair with my feet propped up on the desk.

"Jessica Margarett, what a pleasure it is to hear from you at this hour" she said when she answered.

"You're weird" I told her.

"I know." she said. "So, I wasn't aware that Anna Lim was in your friend group. I didn't figure you to be friends with slutty cheerleaders. Then again, she is pretty hot."

"She's not a slut" I said, defending Anna. "And I'm not friend with her because she's hot."

"Oh" was all that she said back. If I'd have known any better then, I would have thought she was jealous.

"She's in my p.e class." I said.

"That doesn't explain why she rode to the game with you. Doesn't she have a boyfriend or something for that?" she said.

"He was taking his friends apparently. She just asked me if i'd take her. She talks too much." I said. I was seriously clueless.

"Don't even tell me what she said. I don't want to hear the rumors that her and all her friends have come up with." she said

"Okay."

"Who won the game"

"We did."

Then the conversation went on from there. We talked on the phone for three hours on a friday night. She lived right beside me. I could have been with her but we just sat there talking. I liked that she could make me laugh.

I'm usually the one making everyone else laugh or hurting people's feelings with my sarcasm but not with Deanna.

When we talked, it was like a perfect rhythm that went back and forth. We worked together perfectly. The only issue was that she wasn't a guy and I had no idea what I was doing.

That night, I found out that her middle name is Anne. Her coach wanted her to play this year because she was offered a scholarship to USC last fall during indoor soccer.

That is University of San Carlos it's in Main city. The option is still open as long as she plays this spring. She doesn't know what to do.

She listens to vinyl. When we were on the phone, she was playing records in her room. She has read almost every classic book that you can think of.

I don't know how she found the time with everything she does or did. Her favorite food is spaghetti. She doesn't have any pets because her younger brother is allergic to dogs and cats.

She has two brothers by the way. I already knew that. Her older brother, Jake, went to college and came back to be a park ranger for Hog Island National Seashore. He was the star quarterback for the football team years ago so everyone know who he is. He little brother, Dakota was really sick when he was younger so he has a really weak immune system and is allergic to everything.

Deanna is the middle child. I assume that's why she played so many sports and threw all the parties. No one in her family every really paid any attention to her.

Eventually we got off the phone and went to bed.

I didn't think about my feelings that nice. She wasn't just the girl that I had a huge crush on anymore. She was becoming my best friend.

I had to work all weekend so the only time I saw her was on my trips to Seven Eleven and we didn't really even talk then. I was excited for Tuesday to come because I decided to plan something interesting instead of just talking.
