To clear any confusion, in this story the IN BETWEEN is surely not the place where all lost souls end up. Condemned to eternally wonder somewhere between Heaven and Hell. It is not purgatory.
But it is, in a way, a certain type of consciousness purgatory. A forgotten corner of everyone's minds, once they become adults.

As the author, I am a Spaniard, and Our In Between naturally reflects parts of my background. Throughout the story, you'll find a blend of Spanish and Hispanic culture, traditions, expressions and bit of lingo woven into the narrative. While some moments are lightly inspired by my own experiences, this is ultimately a work of fiction, written with the outmost respect for every culture and perspective represented.
