It was finally lunch time. I was standing in the doorway towards the cafeteria trying to find MJ, Ned, and Peter. The only reason I noticed them was because Ned was waving me down. I quickly walked over to their table and sat down.
"Hey guys" Was the only thing I said
"Hey! Have you ever sat with us before? Cause I can't remember.." Ned said
"Ummm.. No I don't think so." I replied
MJ said "Well welcome to the weird table"
"Uhhh. Alina"
"Yeah Peter?"
"Are you not going to get something to eat?"
I'm assuming Peter noticed I didn't get any food or have any for that matter.
"Probably not. None of it really sounds good.. Like at all"
"Oh okay."
I could tell Peter regretted asking me but it didn't bother me at all.
"We should all hang out soon. Like out of school." Ned said that out of the blue.
"Yeah sure. I've actually wanted to hang out with you guys for awhile I'm just.. Not good at approaching people...." I replied with a smile slowly forming on my face
"Why would you want to hang out with us so called 'Nerds'? That's what they call us at least.."
I said while pulling my phone out from my bag "You guys aren't nerds Ned. Just because you're smart and you watch Star Wars doesn't mean you're a nerd. And if people think that, then I'll slap them in the face."
Peters eyes widened cause he knew I wasn't kidding about the slapping part.
"New phone?" MJ asked
"Uhhmm Yeah? How'd you know?"
"I just noticed" MJ replied
"No she's a stalker. That's how she knew." Ned said jokingly
"Nope. She's an observer. Quiet, and watches everyone. Which sounds like a stalker, but a stalker normally stalks one person individually. I know cause I'm the same way." I replied
"See she gets it!!" MJ said.
After that I went on my phone to text Tony. I was going to ask him if Ned, MJ, and Peter could go to the Avengers tower after school.
"Hey could Peter, MJ, and Ned come to the tower after school today?"
"Peter's friends? Sure why not I don't care. But it has to be after 5:00. We're having a meeting and it should end then." Tony replied
"Okay thank you! Continue on with what you're doing."
"Also why are you texting during class hours??"
"It's lunch so."
"Oh... Well that makes so much more since. Bye gotta go"
"Thank you again!"
After that I closed my phone and looked up and saw all three of them looking at me.
"......What?" Was all I said.
"Peter was asking you a question" Ned said
"I'm really sorry Peter. What was it you were asking me?"
"Oh I was just asking who you were texting.." Peter gave me the look of he already knew.
"You already know.." I looked over to Ned and MJ who were sitting across me and Peter "I was asking someone if I could let my three friends come over if they wanted to.."
"Are we the three friends..?" Ned questioned me
"Yeah you are. Would you guys want to come over to the tower after school?"
"The.. tower..?" MJ sounded like she was confused.
It took me a second before I realized what I said. I looked over at Peter where his eyes were wide and he knew that I wouldn't be able to lie to them. I could but they would for sure not believe it.
"I am awful at keeping secrets clearly.. Don't tell anyone about this okay?"
"What are we not supposed to tell anyone?" Ned said
"That I'm a Stark.. And I'm talking about the Avengers tower......."
Both MJ and Neds eyes widened staring at me. Ned looked at Peter who was unfazed by this.
"Peter did you know this??"
"Possibly.." Peter said quietly.
"Does she know you're-"
"Do I know that he has a Stark internship?? Yes. I do." I looked at him like I knew he was SpiderMan.
"Sorry.... That was dumb." Ned said as his voice got quite.
"Well that's cool. I'm down to go. What time?" MJ asked
"Six sounds good to me." I replied.
"I know I'll be there." MJ said. "How about you Peter?"
"Yeah I will. Six sounds good. Ned?"
"Of course I will!! Do you think I'll be able to meet.. You know..?
"Everyone? Probably yeah. But remember you guys have to keep this a secret. If people knew I was a you know what they would never leave me alone."
"I didn't know he had two daughters.. I knew about Morgan but-" Ned said before I cut him off
"Well he really only does have one daughter. I'm adopted so.."
"Oh I'm sorry......"
"Ned it's okay. I've come to terms with it. Kind of."
The bell went off and lunch was over. It felt like it went by super fast. I went through the rest of the school day like it was a normal school day. I was excited and nervous the whole rest of the day for them to come over after school. And before I knew it, it was already five fifty. And they'd be here pretty soon.
