Klance - Strings Of Fate AU
Keith sat in his room. He hadn't gotten any sleep for the past 2 days, due to the weird dreams he's been having about saving the universe and such. But, he didn't put too much thought into it. What he DID think about a lot was the string. That string EVERYONE FUCKING HAS. Except..him. He was different. He didn't like it. All he hears people talk about is their string.
*FLASHBACK*
~ 6th Grade~
Keith sat in class, talking to his friend, Matt. The teacher started mentioning the Strings Of Fate. This caught everyone's attention.
"The string of fate is a red string attached to your finger that leads you to your soul mate! A lot of times people at your age take thought into meeting their soul mate, but some ignore it until they get to the right age...." the teacher kept talking until she didn't have anything else to explain "Any questions?"
Keith rose his hand hesitantly.
"Yes Keith?"
"What if....you don't have a string yet...?" Keith looked at the teacher a bit upset. Kids looked at him and some snickered. Some whispered. Some just scoot away. The teacher went silent.
"Well! Would you look at the time! Class dismissed!!"
*END OF FLASH BACK*
Keith sighed and looked at his pale hand. He got dizzy, he fell back and went to sleep.
"....Keith....." a voice called out. "KEITH!!"
Keith woke up and saw Shiro.
"A-ah...morning Shiro..." Keith rubbed his eyes. He had eye bags. But he ignored it. He crawled out of bed.
"Adam made breakfast! Get dressed and get ready for school" Shiro chuckled. He walked out. Keith sighed and took off his pajamas. He put on his usual red hoodie and black skinny jeans with red and white high tops. He grabbed his phone and earbuds and walked downstairs.
"Morning, Ke-Ke" Adam greeted Keith with a smile while serving breakfast. Keith sat at the table and put his phone in his pocket. Adam put a plate of eggs and a few pieces of toast and bacon in front of Keith. "Hope you enjoy your meal! Hurry up and eat, don't wanna be late to school!" Adam smiled.
'He's too nice...' Keith thought. He smiled and ate the meal. "Thanks for the meal, Adam!"
"No problem, Ke-Ke!" Adam smiled and handed him a lunch bag. "Have a good day! Don't get in any trouble young man!" Adam scolded Keith. Adam hugged Keith and pat his back. Keith ran out the door and ran towards school.
Keith finally walked into the familiar doors of his high school. Atlas High. Keith sighed of relief. He went to his locker.
"Keith! Dude! Heyy!" Keith's friend, Matt, ran towards Keith and threw his arms around Keith's neck. Keith cringed and pulled away.
"Hey Matt."
"How are you, dude?"
"Tired.."
"You need to get sleep, keith!" Matt sighed and pat Keith on the back. "get some sleep tonight..."
"Can't promise.." keith sighed and grabbed his stuff out of his locker, heading towards his 1st class. Chemistry.
Keith made it to class right as the bell rang. He sat at his usual desk in the back corner and put in his earbuds. He played his usual, My Chemical Romance and Panic! At The Disco. He decided to scroll through Instagram a bit, since his classes were boring.
AlteanBeauty : "HeY stAbby boiii?"
Oh boy. His friend, lance texted Keith. Keith found lance annoying but nice. Lance was the only person who accepted Keith entirely. Though...Lance doesn't know about Keith's non-existent string yet. Keith planned on telling soon, he just didn't know when.
