"OH MY GOD IM SO EXCITED!" Leah and I both screamed at the top of our lungs whilst jumping up and down and holding onto each other's wrists. Leah and I are going to the 'Cooly Rocks On Festival'! I'm so excited! Especially since we're planning on buying some fifty's clothing! I just can't wait!!
~Time skip, two days later~
"AM I IN HEAVEN OR WHAT?!" Leah shouted over the blasting music of Jailhouse rock. "I KNOW RIGHT?! OH MY GOD WE SHOULD GO DANCE!!" I then dragged Leah across to the dance floor and we both started dancing to 'Jailhouse rock' by Elvis Presley. Then I spotted a row of stores out of the corner of my eye and I'm guessing Leah did too because we both looked at each other and ran over to them. Meanwhile her grandparents (who we came with) were still dancing at the dance floor. We decided to leave them to it seeming they were having a great time. We had to make our way through the crowds of people all wearing flowing fifty's skirts, dresses, jackets, straight legged pants and slicked back hair. We got to the store and my jaw dropped and Leah looked faint. There were about 20 stores all dedicated to the fifty's, sixties, seventies, eighties etc! Now I was truly in heaven. We started walking through all the stores still with dropped jaws, partially because of shock and partially because of happiness. Everywhere we looked there was Elvis Presley, Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe and many more famous artists from the fifty's, sixties, seventies and eighties. We then walked into a store that had things from Elvis Pins, to Marilyn Monroe skirts. Leah then immediately started freaking out and started searching through the Elvis Pin box meanwhile I was over at the fifty's skirt rack I then picked up a light blue skirt with; ducks, rabbits, flowers, birds and lambs on it. "Hey Leah look at this!" I then held it up to me and Leah replied with "That looks so cute on you! You should try it on!" I then jumped when the store owner said "it is very pretty isn't it?" I turned around in shock as I had been daydreaming. "Oh um. Yeah. Can- Can I try it on please?" The lady just nodded and then disappeared to go get me a light blue belt and a white fifty's top. Once I got what I needed I started getting changed. Once I was in my fifties outfit I walked out and did a spin. "Wait where's Leah?" I asked her grandma seeming they had caught up to us. She just pointed next to me and then out walked Leah wearing a white fifty's skirt with hot pink roses on her skirt with a hot pink bowed belt and a light pink fifties top. We both turned to each other and said "Oh my god!" At the same time and then we grabbed our clothing and went up to the counter to pay for our new clothes. We decided to keep them on since that's what we were intending to do anyways. It was around about 50 for the skirt, 15 for the belt and 50 for the top but it sure was worth it! We went back to get Leah's pins, I'm pretty sure we got 1 big one and 2 little ones. Sigh. What a great day.
