"emma, how about we leave?" ella asks. "ella, w-what are they doing here?" i ask, stuttering. "let's just go" she pulls my hand. "ella..." she tries to grab me and turn me around but i stop her and see daniel. with a girl.
the same girl he cheated on me with. he wraps his arm around her waist.
they're dating..
he moved on..
and forgot about me?
"em? emma! are you ok?" ella looks at me worriedly. "that's him ella...my ex.." i pointed at daniel and the girl. "omg...i'm so sorry, em...lets go.." she says but i shake my head. "no" she gives me a confused look as i grab her hand.
"if he can move on, so can i" i say and she smiles. i smile as i grab my bags with one hand and walk pass them, ignoring their presence. we open the door and run upstairs into my room. i heard the boys gasping as i passed them. we get in the room and i shut the door and lean against it, exhaling deeply.
"that was-" i say. "so awkward..." ella finishes. "ugh, i can't go back down there!" i groan. "wait? so daniel's your ex?" ella asks. "ye- wait. how do you know them?" i turn around facing her. she sighs.
"my brother is friends with them and they hang out all the time. i wanted to protect you down there, i'm sorry.." she says all in one breath. "thanks for caring el" i hug her. "anything for you!" i smile as i get up.
"so what now? he's down there with a girl he cheated on me with and i'm up here, him thinking i'm crying my eyes out!"
daniel's pov
we went to jason's house. jack and zach went to get drinks. they came back kinda mad. i don't know why. i didn't ask, i wanna get through this day. i brought carol with me so she'll stop bothering me about not spending time with me.
honestly, i get stuck around her to try get over emma. it's not working. i've made too many mistakes. she probably doesn't remember who i am.
