Mari had been taking care of Cat Noir (the cat) for a few days now. Meanwhile, Adrien was getting used to being kept secret and snuggling up with Marinette to sleep.
Mari had been examining the ring. No sign of a kwami, but Alya could use it to transform into Cat Noire.
(Plagg: Well, we have special abilities...)
So was the cat... the actual Cat Noir?
Mari looked at the cat. Immediately, Cat Noir came to mind. She took out a picture of Cat Noir. "I love Adrien," she muttered, "but, fine. I do have some feelings for Cat Noir." She compared Adrien, Cat Noir, and the cat next to her. They all looked so similar.
(Author: All complaints about density can be directed to Mari.)
(Mari: Why am I here?)
(Author: People think you're de-oh, never mind.)
Meanwhile, what can I do with this? Mari thought.
(le time skip to a certain healer's place)
"Master Fuuu!" Marinette bolted into the room.
"Oh, Mari! It's nice to see you again! So, need any help?"
(Master Fu: Fine, she didn't look like she needed any...)
"Kind of."
"What is it?"
Silence. All Mari did was take the ring off the cat and hold it up.
Master Fu took it. "Plagg?" he called as he knocked the ring.
"I WANT CAMEMBERT! NOW!"
"Plagg? Oh, sorry, the camembert has somehow been stolen..."
(Author: *munches* Are you looking for this? *holds up a piece of delicious Camembert* Yes, I DO like Camembert. No joke.)
"Anyways, what are you doing on this cat?"
"Let's just say Adri- I mean Cat Noir got turned into a...ca-"
"CAT?!" Marinette was internally AND externally screaming.
(Adrien: Oh, don't remind me! She was screaming so loud I could barely stand it! Cat senses are stronger than human ones, you know! Just glad I didn't get a hearing im-purr-ment.)
(Mari: Not another pun...)
(Adrien: I thought my puns are pawsome!)
(Author: GAAH JUST SHUT IT)
"Well... that's rather strange, was it done by an-" Master Fu got cut off
"Yup, an akuma," Plagg replied, as he swam through the fourth wall and got his Camembert back from the author.
(Author: Hey!)
"Oh dear...if the akuma is on the loose, then those peeps who have turned to animals or...or...or...GAAAH, never mind...won't be recognised! AND THERE IS NO SIGN OF AN AKUMA!!!"
Master Fu just blinked.
(Mari: *Holds up a picture of BLACKPINK fans* This blink?)
(Author: *hits her with that ddu-ddu-du*)
(Miraculous characters: WHY??????????????????????????)
(BLACKPINK: THIS IS AWESOME!!!)
(Author: *immediate regret*)
"But yesterday night, I saw this akuma flying around my house. Could it have been one that left its victim?" Mari mused.
"Or maybe it was just looking for negative emotions."
"I don't know," she replied.
"Just keep the cat. I have a customer coming in. Bye, Mari!"
"Bye!" Mari yelled as she carried the cat and ran out. Not before tripping on nothing, of course.
Back in the room, Master Fu sniggered to himself. He remembered a saying that his 师父(means predecessor or something-I'm good at Chinese but not the translation part) had told him:
Once one ship sails,
so do all the others.
And so they will, he thought, they will.
YAY! ANOTHER CHAPTER DONE!
