Ridley POV
So here I was, sitting in the hot sunny day of South Florida. God it's hot as hell here. I'm waiting for my dad to pick me up. I miss my dad, he's the only guy who isn't an asshole.
Who loves me for me.
A Jupiter red CLA250 Mercedes-Benz comes and stops right in front of the airports benches I had been occupying on for the past 15 minutes since I got off the plan. I'd called my dad to come and pick me up as soon as I landed. The tinted glass windows rolled down on the passenger side that was hiding my dad's face.
He had gotten older since I last saw him. Gray hair in all the right places mixed in with the black hair he still had left. He was a handsome older gentleman. My mother was stupid to ever leave him. I wonder why she left anyway.
"Hey beautiful girl, are you just going to sit there in la-la world or are you going to get into the car so we can go home and get you set up?" he smiled his perfect set of teeth. Such a stupid woman indeed.
"Hey Daddy, sorry I was trying to figure out how I'm going to survive this hot and humid weather, I mean look at my hair! It's already starting to fizz up!" I pouted while crossing my arms.He comes over to rub my head and give me a hug, like he used to do when I was a child.
"I missed you so much." I hug him back before he tries to slip right out of my hands again.
"I missed you too beautiful, so much." He hugs me tighter and kisses the top of my head. I feel water start to trickle down my face. I didn't even notice that I was crying until now.
"Okay pretty girl, let's put your stuff in the car, we're beginning to look like that weird family who hugs for to long." I laugh at his joke and get in the car wile he puts my stuff in.
"So are you hungry? Do you want something to eat? Oh and also before I forget we need to stop by Home Depot to get the paint that you wanted for your room, your furniture arrives in two days from now, are you sure that's the set that you want? We can always take it back if you like."
"No I'm not hungry and I love the set that I picked, it perfect." I lean my head on the window to sleep for a little while.
While I had been on the plane being smushed by some old fat guy, I was also thinking of how I could devise my plan.
How I could manipulate my first victim.
"Rid get up sweet pea we're here." I open the door to get out the car and catch up to my dad to walk with him. The sun has began to set but it's still hot as hell outside.
"So hurry up and pick your colors. We need to get home fast the football game is about to start."
Same old sports freak dad, I smile to myself, thinking about the dark and bright colors to chose.
Pulling up to the drive way, I see a group of teenagers start walking towards the beach. Since my dad basically lives on the beach, we would'nt need a pool.
The Atlantic Ocean is my pool.
I try to look closer to the group of kids to see if I can find a boy on my first week here. No such luck, they all appear to be girl, although I'm not so sure about the one on the left, he/she looks like she has a beard growing, but is wearing a dress. Ahhhh Florida, and only South Florida that is.
Dad takes my stuff up to my new room. I check out the house that I'm going to be spending some time in. It's big and spacious.
I love it.
"Alright Sweet pea, I put all of your things up stairs and I called the delivery truck while I was up there and they said that all of your things will be coming on the same day as your furniture so don't worry about that now, are you sure that your not hungry because as soon as I sit down I will not be getting up!" He chuckles the last part, but I know he's serious.
