Ridley's P.O.V
I stood there staring at them for a short moment before it registered in my mind that they were waiting on a response.
Luckily Jon saved me as he stepped forward, and wrapped an arm around my shoulders. "Actually Rid and I met yesterday at the beach, and then we went to go grab some food."
"Oh god." His mother said looking saddened.
"You two don't like each other or anything do you?" My fathers said laughing nervously, and we both scrunched up our faces and moved putting space between us.
"No, I went with him, Nina, and Kaiden. We are just kinda friends." I explained quickly while Jon nodded in agreement.
They both breathed a sigh of relief, and Karrie laughed. "It's nice to meet you Ridley."
She held out her hand, and I shook it with a pleasant smile on my face. "Nice to meet you too."
It really was too, I just hope she's good for my dad.
After all it was about time he had got a new girlfriend after my mother had divorced him for only god knows why.
"Uhm, I'll be back down I'm going to change into something nicer." I said giving them all a smile, and my father nodded approvingly as he placed his hand on the small of Karries back gesturing for her to take her seat at the table.
Once I was in my room I shut the door, and went over to my closet. I had not been expecting this to be the surprise.
After sifting around for a few minutes I finally found a formal red sweetheart neckline dress that reached a little above my knee.
Once I had the dress on I brushed out my blonde waves, and wore it down.
After putting on a pair of brown wedges I went downstairs, and took a seat at the table next to Jon.
"You look pretty, and that dress is lovely." Karrie said beaming at me.
"Thank you, I got a few days ago at this cute little boutique." I told her, and Jon sighed louldy.
When he was ignored the first time he did it again louder. Rolling her eyes with a smile on her face she turned to look at her son. "What's bothering you Jon?"
"I'm bored can Kaiden come over?" He asked hopefully, and looked over at my dad for an answer.
Oh god, I am not in the mood to participate in the game at the moment or be sexually harrased.
"Yes, but only after dinner." My dad said, and took a bite of his cheeseburger.
Jon smiled excitedly, and began to eat quickly making me slowly lose my appetite as food fell back on to his plate.
Turning my attention away from him I took a drink of my lemonade, and inwardly shuddered in disgust.
"Are you not hungry Rid?" Jon asked a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips, and I got a feeling he knew he had grossed me out.
"No, I'm not I ate with Nina and Sam." I said narrowing my eyes at him, and he shrugged going right back to his food.
"Jon use your manners." His mother scolded him, and he looked up at her as he slowled down and put a fry in his mouth.
Once dinner was over my father and Karrie went into the living room where I found out she was just as much into sports as my dad which made me smile, I headed up to my room.
I layed down on my bed, and stared up at my ceiling completely bored.
I wonder what my mothers wedding dress looks like, and if everythings going as smoothly as she had hoped.
