Relaxed (Short Chapter)

After getting back on the road, (Y/N) looked stressed and I wrapped an arm around her shoulders, pulling her into me slightly.

"Murphy?" She whispered, looking up at me and I sighed, replying,

"I just want you to relax (Y/N). Then, I'll be able to relax."

"Sorry."

"Don't apologize. It isn't your fault. The situation is stressful, but stress isn't good for you."

"Murphy..."

"I know. I'm lecturing you. I can't help it. I worry."

"That's not...Your skin...it's turning blue."

Looking down at my arms, I frowned and tugged at my sleeves, putting a finger to her lips.

"You can't hide that forever. It's spreading isn't it?"

"..."

"From your bites?"

"..."

"Murphy, they are going to notice."

"I know. Just let's keep it between us for awhile longer."

"Fine."

"Can you relax now?"

"I'm going to take a nap."

"Okay."

Her head rested on my shoulder and she laced our fingers, pulling my other hand into her lap. Kissing her forehead, her breathing became soft and she fell asleep quickly.

"She's sleeping, finally?" Warren asked, quietly.

"Yeah. She's exhausted. stubborn as a mule though."

"She has to be to deal with you."

"Oh you're so funny."

"How are you feeling, Murphy?"

"I'm fine."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, Warren."

"Okay."

We drove for about an hour before the truck died and we found a building to stay in for the night. Waking (Y/N) up, I brought her into the building and laid her down, telling her,

"Relax. I'll make sure your safe. I promise."

Without speaking, she nodded and went back to sleep, relief filling me.

(A/N: Sorry for the short chapter. I wanted to get something out for you guys. I won't be updating my stories for the next two weeks because I'm going to be very busy throughout those two weeks.)
