Roman's POV:

    I got home and took a shower. I flopped down on my bed. I was tired but mostly hungry so I got up and went to the kitchen. I got some chips and put them in a bowl. I turned around and nearly bumped into Virgil.

    "AAAHHHH!" I screamed.

    "Haha. Calm down sir sing-a-lot, it's just me." he said laughing.

    "Why are you standing right behind me Virgil?"

    "Well, I was trying to get to the sink but you walked in front of me."

    He was holding a cup of paint water and some paint brushes.

    "Working on another painting?"

    "Ya, just finished."

    "Mind if I take a look?"

    "Umm, sure. I'll show ya later."

    "Ok."

    I walked over to the couch and sat down. I turned on The Office.  Virgil finished cleaning his stuff and went back to his room. Patton came down and started dinner. Logan came down and joined me on the couch. Patton finished making dinner and we all sat down and ate. I cleaned up my dishes and went to my room. I took off my hat and scratched my ear. I untucked my tail and brushed it. I went to put up my brush in my bathroom. I walked back into my room and Logan was there.

    "Roman I wa..." he stopped and just stared at me.

    "Logan. Umm, what are you doing in here."

    "I umm... I was just."

    I was terrified. He knew and I didn't know what was going to happen. I closed my bedroom door.

    "You can't tell anyone." I quietly told him.

    "I won't." he assured me.

    "You have questions, don't you?" I said after a minute.

    Logan nodded his head yes.

    "Go ahead." I sat down on my bed and patted the spot next to me.

    Logan sat down. He seemed to be collecting his thoughts.

    "What are you? And I don't mean any offense by that."

    "It's ok. I am an inu. Do you know what a neko is?" I cringed a little when I said neko and Logan nodded his head yes.

    "It's like that accept instead of me being a cat hybrid, I'm a dog hybrid."

    "Oh, that makes sense. Any specific breed?"

    "German Shepherd and Doberman Pinscher mix."

    "Who knows?" he asked.

    "Umm, no one."

He seemed to be lost in thought for a minute.

    "You don't have to and I know it's weird, but would it be possible to see what you look like in dog form?"

    "Umm," I thought about it and I couldn't see the harm,"ok. But no pictures please."
    "Ya, no problem."

    I turned into my dog form and sat down on the bed. Logan studied me for about five minutes.

    "Can I pet you?"

    I laid down and nodded. He pet me on the head and the back. Then he scratched my ear. Not gonna lie it felt good. I laid my head in his lap and closed my eyes. I felt relieved. Logan seemed to be ok with me being an inu. I was happy that I had one less person to hide it from. Patton called saying that dinner was ready. I sat up and shifted back. I put on my favorite hoodie. My mom found a hoodie made for inus. It had dog ears on it that were hollow so that I didn't have to tuck my ears into a tight hat. I just had to make sure that I don't wiggle them. The hoodie also had a pocket for my tail that's designed so that my tail didn't stand out. I tucked in my tail.

"Hey. Real quick before we head down, you had a collar on in your dog form. Your clothes also disappeared. Why is that?"

"Honestly Logan, I don't know. That's just how it is."

We headed down stairs. Virgil was already at the table and Patton was bringing the food over to the table. Logan always sat to my right, Virgil my left, and Patton right across from me. Virgil finished first as usual. He seemed a little off though. I finished my dinner and went upstairs. I knocked on Virgil's door. I heard rustling and then the door opened a crack.

    "Hey." I said.

    "Hey."

    "Can I see that painting now?"

    "Sure."

    He let me into his room. I liked Virgil's room set up and decor but something about it was off. It always smelled of cat. Virgil had told us when he moved in that he cat sits sometimes so maybe that's why. He also runs a pet grooming shop and he helps out sometimes. Virgil went to his closet and dug around a little. I was kinda jealous of his closet because he had the biggest one. He came out with a relatively big canvas. It was a bunch of LGBTQ+ flags on it and in the middle a black figure. The figure appeared to be male.

    "This looks really good. You should hang it up in the house."

    "Really? You think so?"

    "Ya. You're really good at what you do. You should show it off more."

    "Thanks. Maybe I will."

    "So, are you doing anything tonight?"

    "Umm, no."

    "Well, I was talking to Patton and we were wanting to have a sleepover type night. You in?"

    "Ya, that sounds fun."

    "Cool. I'm gonna go run to the store and get food so I'll see ya later."

    "Ok. See ya tonight then."

    "Ya."

    I headed down stairs and grabbed my keys. Patton wanted to come with so we both headed to the store to get some snacks. We got chips, popcorn, and pop. I paid for it and we went home.
