Everyone is worried about Eddie. It's been a week. But, to Eddie its been only a day. He reads the note for the third challenge while everyone else is at school, sad, everyone but Richie. He want to see Eddie.
Everyone has changed. Richie is more...himself. As in, he is a little less goofy and is more of a soft-boi. But he is usually cheering everyone up.
Stan is less sarcastic.
Everyone else is more stressed, hopeless and sad.
Meanwhile, at the Hospital:
Dr. Owens: "I'm sorry. We have to pull the plu-"
Sonia: "What?! No..NO NO NO NONONONO GIVE HIM MORE TIME. PLEASE"
Dr. Owens: "umm...I don't-"
Richie: "ple...please...at least..a week.."
(Richie is about to cry)
Dr. Owens: "I...umm—Fine...another week. But that's it."
Richie and Sonia: "Thank you. So, so much."
Eddie hears the conversation. He gets sad. He's running out of time. He hurried and struggled to finish the third challenge but he does it.
He reads the note for the forth challenge
Eddie: "phew. That was hard."
???: "you have a week, Eddie."
Eddie: "I—ok..."
I- I can't do this...I'm gonna die...
I just wanna hear Richie call me "Ed's" again.... I just wish I could've told him I...I love him...I..I really do...I..I miss him. So much. I need to get home.
He continues to read the note.
"Guess the food?"
"What's that mean?"
???: "it means that you will be served three foods and you have to guess them all."
Eddie: "oh. This'll be easy—"
???: "BUT, they will have toppings. So you can't fully taste the food."
Eddie: "but..but I need to get home..."
???: "I'm sorry Eddie, that's just how you do it."
Eddie: "f-fine..."
After a day, he completed the challenge. One more challenge to go. 5 days left.
