two; in which he doesn't have time

i awaken to the obnoxious ringing of my alarm. i roll my eyes and reluctantly press the stop button, instead of the snooze. i roll out of bed, my bare feet hitting the cold floor as i walk to my closet to pick out my outfit.

i've never really cared about my outfits at school, so i chose a grey crop top and some light washed jeans. i comb my hair and put on a little bit of makeup before grabbing my backpack and heading down stairs.

i eat breakfast and try to sneak out the door when my mom stops me.

"millie, don't try to leave so soon. go to the front of the house with your sister so i can take a picture." she says.

i roll my eyes. my mom always takes a picture of me and my sister on our first day of school. i always try and avoid it, but my mom always seems to catch me before i can leave the house.

after my mom takes the picture, she sends me on my own way, which is towards the park in our gated neighborhood. my friends and i always meet up there at 7:45 so we can walk to school together. school is only a five minute walk, so we never felt the need to have our parents drive us.

i get there at the exact time to see all my friends. well almost all of them.

"millie!" they all shout, embracing me in a tight hug, "we missed you so much!"

i smile, "i missed you guys too! you have to catch me up with what all happened in our group." i look at each of them to see only four faces, instead of five. "where's finn?" i ask, realizing that the curly haired boy was no where to be found.

gaten rolls his eyes, "with iris. seems he's forgot about us."

"yeah." caleb chimes in, "iris wanted him to walk her to school."

"oh, i didn't know that she lived in this neighborhood." i assume.

"oh no, she doesn't. he has to walk fifteen minutes in the opposite direction from school, and then walk back to go to school." gaten says with a tone of annoyance.

"oh." i respond, "so do y'all not like finn with iris?" i ask, noticing how they all are started to look annoyed.

"i mean, we're glad that the dude finally got a girlfriend, but he needs to make time for his friends, who he's known for almost eight years now. and plus, iris bullied you for a good bit, and it's not nice of finn to just go and date her after the things she did." noah explains.

i nod, knowing how frustrating this is for all of us, and change the topic as we walk out of the neighborhood.

"see ya, joe!" gaten shouts at our security guard as he opens the gates for us, giving a nod in return, while we make our way to our first day of school.

after we compare schedules, we set out to find our lockers. i frown when i realize that their lockers are all in the same general area, while mine is all the way on the other side of the hall. i make my way towards my locker, number 315, when i spot a certain curly haired boy the makes my heart pound faster. he's at 316, right next to mine.

i get excited at the opportunity to finally get to talk to him for the first time in months, when i see his blond girlfriend next to him. i quickly walk with my head down, causing my short hair to fall in my face, in hopes that he doesn't notice me yet. i don't need iris to see me, after all the shit she put me through in previous years.

i make it to my locker, without being seen by finn and iris, and as i'm pulling my books out of my baby blue backpack, i drop everything on the ground, causing a scene.

"shit." i curse under my breath, rushing to pick up everything.

"millster?" i look up to see finn, staring down at me and smiling. he wears a striped t shirt and black jeans. an outfit i've seen him wear so many times.

"finnie!" i smile a little embarrassed, as he helps me gather the books i dropped. "how've you been?" i ask putting everything in my locker.

finn smiles, "great! oh shit, i forgot to tell you. this is my new girlfriend, iris!" he says, as if it wasn't obvious they weren't dating. iris was attached to him as if they were one person. iris looks at me and scoffs, looking me up and down.

i nod, "yeah, i know. sadie told me." i try to hide the annoyance in my voice.

iris clings to finns shirt, "finn, can we stop talking to this weirdo so we can go see lilia and maddie before class? you promised." she whines.

finn would usually be quick to defend me when people are rude, but he completely ignored the fact that she called me a weirdo.

"sure babe." he responds, as they walk away, holding hands, without even saying a goodbye to me.

so what did iris do to millie when she bullied her? what will happen in finn and millie's relationship?

so ummmm. STRANGER THINGS WAS FUCKING AMAZING AND I CRIED FOR HOURS OVER THE ENDING LIKE UGGGG WHY'D IT END LIKE THAT BUT IT WAS ALSO AMAZING. i could go on forever but it's so weird to think that the thing we've been waiting for for almost two years is over. wow. it feels so weird. the mileven was adorable and hilarious and if they aren't still together in season 4 i'm suing.
