"H-hey.. Kocchan?" a boy stuttered, timidly glancing up from his sand castle to the quiet blonde beside him.
"Yeah, Izuzu?" she hummed softly, looking to her green haired friend. He quickly looked away, finding his hands more interesting to look at. Words caught in his throat as anxiety ate away at every single thought that surfaced in his mind.
"Do... Do you think I can still become a hero.. even if I'm quirkless?" he whispered, his voice almost inaudible to the small girl.
Her tiny hands grabbed his face, holding his chubby cheeks in her palms as she touched her forehead to his. Forcing the boy's forest green eyes to meet her blood red ones.
A small smile tugged at her lips as she spoke, "Of course." she chirped softly, "As long as you never give up, I'll always believe in you."

"So.."
The junior high teacher drawled out, "As third year students, it's time to think about your futures and what you want to do with your lives. I could pass out your career aptitude test but why bother?" he laughed, "We all know you all want to go to the hero track."
Kyoko snapped out of her thoughts as her classmates cheered loudly while showing off their quirks.
All except her twin, childhood friend, and herself.
"Yes, yes you got some very impressive quirks but no power usage allowed in school. Get a hold of yourselves." the teacher chuckled, the blonde girl looked to her twin, waiting to hear one of his egotistical spouts again.
"Hey teach, don't lump me up with these extras." Katsuki haughtily spoke up, "I'm the real deal. These guys'll be lucky to be a sidekick to some busted deal hero."
Kyoko sighed softly, shaking her head as her classmates got all riled up from the male Bakugo's statement.
"You think you're better than us Katsuki?!" a student exclaimed.
Said boy got up, "Let's go! I'll take you all on!"
"You've got an impressive test result. Maybe you will get into U.A. High." the teacher commented. Katsuki smirked proudly, leaning back in his seat.
"He's gonna try for the national school?"
"That school has a point 2% acceptance rate."
"It's impossible to get into."
Katsuki laughed, "That's exactly why it's worthy of me! I ace all the mock test, I'm the only one at this school who stands a chance at getting in!"
Kyoko sighed at her brother, an unimpressed look on her face, 'Arrogant idiot.'
"I'll end up more popular than All Might himself and be the richest hero of all time." his smirk widened as he pointed to himself, "People all across the world will know who I am and it all starts with U.A. High."
"Oh yeah, Midoriya, don't you want to go to U.A. too?"
Students began laughing and mocking the quirkless boy as he looked up alarmed, face red from embarrassment.
Katsuki stood and stormed over to Izuku, using his quirk to destroy the smaller boy's desk. "Listen up, Deku." the male Bakugo growled, standing over the greenet, "You're worse than these damn rejects, you quirkless wannabe."
Kyoko stood, her crimson eyes steely as she looked at the two boys she grew up with.
"Katsuki." her voice was firm and held a warning tone as she addressed her older twin. She was prepared to use her quirk to stop the boy from going overboard, after all it was a common occurrence.
