"Who would be selling a brand new wedding dress?" The woman asks her husband as they walk past the house, eyeing the sale in the front yard.

I never thought that I would be selling my beautiful wedding dress before I ever got the chance to wear it; that's what I wanted to tell the woman.

Every little girl dreams of their wedding day. Some - much like myself - even have theirs all planned out by their middle school years.

My wedding day was supposed to be the most spectacular and happiest day of my life, but now it will never happen.

Everything was going to be so perfect. It was all planned out with the utmost love and care.

My fiancé was so helpful and never left me to fend for myself during any of the decision making process. He was just as excited as I was for our special day.

It hurts when something you've been looking forward to for so long is ripped away in mere moments.

Now I can't walk down the aisle to the handsome man I've been engaged to for nearly two years. We won't get to exchange our heartfelt, handwritten vows. We'll never even get to share our first kiss as a married couple.

There are so many wonderful firsts that I'll never get to experience with him.

All because of a stranger's stupid decision.
And that stupid decision cost me everything.

The car seemed like it appeared out of thin air. It wasn't there and then all of a sudden it was.

That split second changed so many lives forever.

I wish I had known.

I would've held him tighter.
I would've kissed him longer.
I would've told him how much I loved him until my face turned blue.

But no one could've predicted what was going to happen that night.

Nobody knew that a drunk driver was going to hit me and kill me.
