Hate

"You know everyone hates you, right?" The words came out sharply, no hesitance behind them.

When she didn't respond, I continued to let the thoughts and feelings that had bundled up inside of me just spew out at her.

"People act like they like you and that they're your friend, but they don't and they're not. They don't care about you like you care about them. They never have and they never will."

I watched as the tears built up in her eyes, making them shine.

"But.. you'll always hate yourself more than they hate you, right?"

Her eyes stayed trained on mine, a tear slipping out to begin the avalanche, confirming my words.

"Sure it hurts when everyone else is against you, but it's especially bittersweet when you're the worst villain you have to defeat, hm?"

The hot tears continued to fall, sliding down her cheeks and over her lips which trembled, wanting to say something back. Daring to argue, but.. it would be pointless.

My words were truth and we both knew that.

Her hands came up to furiously wipe at her cheeks, although it didn't do much. They just kept falling and falling.

Like it was a competition to see which tear would race down her face faster.

I looked at her once more before I averted my eyes from the mirror.

"I'm sorry.."
