Chapter 6 - Leaving again

Sasuke's POV

"It's been a long time since we've been this close together" he said as he sat in the chair behind his desk.

"Never thought I would stand here again" I said. In all honesty, I never did want to stand in this office again. This was where they ruined my brothers life, but now I know it's also where he was given the justice he deserved.

"That is true, last time you were here was when we were all team 7" I snickered slightly. Children we were, we didn't know what the real world held.

"Team 7 doesn't exist anymore, besides, I'm here to be sent into exile anyway" I told Kakashi straight.

"Right to the point I see"

"Hn"

"I understand that you were already investigating into an issue before your return here?" He asked. I nodded.

"I've been keeping an eye on those closely associated with anything to do with the Ōtsutsuki. I've also been trying to work out how that dimension she took me and Naruto to works" I told him, there was no point in me making something up.

"Alright, I want you to continue doing that but also looking out for other threats to the village, such as other villages. You are permitted into the village only on occasions of emergency. I would hope you respect your charges or the council will not be so kind next time" Kakashi told me. I should've been sentenced to death.

"I'm not going to break the terms" I said turning towards the door to leave.

"Wait Sasuke" I halted before the door.

"Why are you not fighting this? You have a family here, but you're not angry or upset to leave..."

"They're not of your concern, Naomi will over see them and I will protect them in my own way" I said and left.

I could leave right now. I didn't bring anything with me therefore I didn't have anything to take. I thought about this as I sat on the lounge in the apartment that we were staying in. Why haven't I left though.

"Dada" my leg had something wrapped around it.

That's why

I picked her up and sat her on my lap. She wrapped her tiny arms around me.

"I have to leave" I said to her. She looked up at me with big onyx eyes.

"Why?"

"I have an important mission to do because I am a ninja. One day you'll get to be a ninja too, and you'll be just as strong as your mummy"

"Really?" She asked again.

"Yes, remember that I'll always protect you okay?"

"Okay dada" she said and I stood up hugging her. I put her back down on the floor grabbing my bag that was on the lounge.

"Go back to mummy now and tell her to stay safe, I'll see you soon" I said and turned to the door. She ran back to whatever room she came from

Third POV

Sakura stood just behind the door that was slightly open, listening to her daughter talk to her father.

"Go back to mummy now and tell her to stay safe, I'll see you soon" he said and soon after she heard little footsteps coming towards the door. She sat back down on the bed and continued to fold clothes.

"Mama, dada said to stay safe" she said as she made and effort to climb onto the bed that was the same height as her.

"And he said he will see me soon" she said and gave her mum a big smile. Sakura returner that smile while a small tear slid down her cheek. She knew that Sarada wouldn't see her father for a while but she knew that him telling her to stay safe was his way of saying he loves her.

"Hey, why don't we go and visit Amaterasu?" Sakura asked. Sarada frantically nodded her head. Her big cousin was training to be a ninja.

"Yes yes, let's gooo" she said and jumped off the bed, grabbing her mums hand.

"Wait just a second, why don't we take our stuff back home. I'm sure you miss your own bed?" Sakura asked and put the clothes in a bag. They had only been staying in the apartment throughout the trial.

"Okayyyy" Sarada replied. They walked to their house that Akari and Amaterasu had also been staying in since they returned to the village. The house was located within the Uchiha district but far from where majority of the tragedy happened. When Sakura fell pregnant with Sarada and returned to the village, the Hokage has the house constructed for the small family.

"Amaterasu, guess what!!" Sarada said running into the house.

"What!" She yelled back.

"I got to see my daddy" she said with a bright smile on her face. Akari sent a sympathetic look to Sakura, knowing it would've been hard to see him leave again. She smiled back at her to reassure she would be alright, she's been alone most of this time, so she wouldn't let it effect her now.

"Hey hey mummy" she said pulling on the bottom of Sakura's dress.

"Yeah?" She asked bending down to her daughters level.

"Can me and Amaterasu go and play ninja for a while before dinner? Pleaseeeee" she asked jumping up and down. Sakura smiled.

"Okay but make sure you're back before dark and don't leave your cousin okay?" She asked. Sarada nodded, something igniting in her after talking to her father. She ran upstairs to grab her toys and came back down grabbing Amaterasu's hand and tried to drag the older girl to the door.

"Amaterasu! Do not use any real weapons you hear me!" Akari yelled as they ran out the door.

"Yeah mum" she replied picking Sarada up and running off, the door shutting behind them.

"So energetic aren't they" Akari laughed as she continued to make dinner. Sakura sat down at the bench.

"She's only 3 but she's so keen on playing and doing things all the time. I just hope she stays the way she is now and doesn't turn out like her father. Sasuke was an energetic kid" Sakura said.

"He sure was. He always wanted to play with his big brother" she explained.

"Would you like me to help you with dinner?" Sakura asked standing up, not really giving Akari a choice.

"Sure" she smiled.

The two girls walked through the abandoned streets off the Uchiha compound. Amaterasu was carrying Sarada on her back who was tired from playing so much and tripped over a rock.

"Hey Ama" Sarada asked quietly.

"Hmm"

"You know how we are a clan, cause we share a last name?" She asked.

"Yeah?"

"How come no one else lives here?"
