Chapter 8 - Real Talk

Amaterasu's POV

I don't know exactly how to tell Sarada about everything that happened with the Uchiha. She's so little but she's curious about it. I remember being her age asking mum about dad and the rest of my family.

"Now Sarada, this is some serious stuff okay. So you have to listen with an open mind and promise you won't think of anyone different in this story. This is all real" I told her. She nodded at me with a cute serious face.

"I promise!" She seemed excited.

"A long time ago, when your dad was a little kid, and my dad was a teenager, and Aunt Naomi was just a baby like Kimiko and Kasai, my dad had to do something very bad" I tried to say in ways she will understand. She let out a little gasp.

"What did he do?"

"Him and the bad Uchiha that I mentioned we're responsible for the Uchiha clan massacre" I said. She looked at me confused.

"What is a ma-mas-cre?" She asked trying to pronounce the word.

"He killed every person in our clan except for your dad and Aunt Naomi. At least that's what the world though. He also spared my mum who was unknowingly pregnant with me"

"Wha- but why? She asked even more confused.

"You need to understand that when they were kids, the times were much different to how things are now. Our clan was planning a coup d'état-"

"A what?" She interrupted.

"They wanted to take over the village and possibly start a war with the Hokage at the time. That would have been a civil war"

"But why did he kill all of the people? Couldn't the Hokage talk to them?" She asked.

"No, there was other people in power who overruled the Hokage. They gave my dad a mission, and that mission was to kill every person in the clan"

"*gasp* That is so mean! But how are daddy and Aunt Naomi and Shisui-baka alive still?"

"He couldn't bare to kill his little siblings, one being a young child and the other an infant. As for Shisui, he had already died" I knew this would spark some interest

"What! But he's not dead now?"

"No, he's definitely alive. My dad and Shisui had an idea to used Shisui's Mangekyō jutsu on the the head of the clan, our grandpa. It would change his way of thinking and then the Uchiha would follow. But Danzo didn't agree and took on of his eyes from him. He knew Danzo would come for his other eye so he gave it to Itachi and jumped off a cliff"

"Who is Danzo?" Out of all that, that's the question she asks.

"He was a bad man, but you don't need to worry about him because your dad and Aunt Naomi killed him long ago"

"But how is Shisui alive now?"

"One of Aunt Naomi's powers from the Tailed Beast in her is that a special chakra it possess can bring people back to life. That's why my dad is alive too"

"Why did he die?"

"Well when he killed all of the clan, he left the village and didn't tell Sasuke about the mission, making him hate him to make him stronger. Sasuke had to attempt to raise a baby on his own. The Hokage raised her until she was a decent age to go back to him considering he was only 6. But he neglected her, because she saw a different side to what my dad did, and for that he hated her too. So she left the village to find my dad. But when Sasuke got more power, our dads fought, and mine died. This send Aunt Naomi on a rampage but part of that chakra got to my dads body. So Shisui took his body realising what would happen because it had happened to him. Then they were both alive" by now Sarada was almost asleep.

"Wooow, that was such a cool story Ama. I'm glad everyone is alright now though" she told me.

"Yeah, me too" I said and pulled the blankets over her and took her glasses off.

"Goodnight Sarada"

"Goodnight" she replied and fell asleep. I realised that our past is really messed up. I didn't even have to live through it and I still feel bad, for my dad and everyone. Everyone was put through something in some way. I went down stairs to where my parents were waiting.

"What did you guys talk about?" Mum asked.

"A bit of the past and a lot of the truth. Bye Aunt Sakura" I said being vague and walked out. On the way home I thought to myself, it would be really cool of the Uchiha compound got rebuild and we could live in it.

"Yes that would be pretty cool" my dad replied.

"Wait did I say that out loud?" I asked looking at him. I must be pretty tired.

"Yes, but I agree. I think we should slowly rebuild the compound, especially for the future generations" he said with a smile. I nodded at him back. When we got back to our house dad came to tuck me in.

"Are you excited for tomorrow?" He asked. What was tomorrow?

"What is happening tomorrow?" I questioned.

"Your first day at the academy" he told me. 

"Ohhhhh, I completely forgot about that. I guess so though. What if the other kids are scared of me or something?" I asked.

"Don't worry about them. You're in the top class for a reason, and if they are scared of you thats their problem, okay?"

"Okay dad. Love you"

"Love you too" he said turning the light off and closing the door.

A/N: I've concluded that updates to this book are probably gonna be slow. I am working on a new book that I thought of a plot line for that starts at the beginning of Naruto and its so much easier to follow the storyline of Naruto to come up with new plot for this book so it might just be a book I update here and there with random chapters. A lot of my effort is going into writing that because I want it to do better than say this series has and I'm planning to publish it when it has a lot of chapters written which atm it has 3.
