See as you speak,
Even walls have ears...
Where, I am sitting just in front of you, dear.
'Thank you for ordering. Enjoy!' Namjoon bowed at the woman and took over the ice-cream glass. Chocolate over the strawberry, vanilla at the bottom, He pinched out a small portion from the hill with a spoon and mouthed. His teeth responded with a slight shiver at the coldness. Tasty.
'Namjoon?' He choked.
"Oh Y/N, hey!" He gulped down the little scoop as soon as I came closer to sit onto the chair in front of him.
'I didn't expect to see you here. What are you doing? Umm, it's been a while since I saw you, isn't it?' He squinted his eyes trying to remember.
'I had a leave for one week. But I was at Big Hit just the day before. I even gave you a hi as we were passing. Don't you remember?'
'I don't...actually remember hehe. I have been having a terrible memory these days.' He replied sheepishly.
'It's okay, I know you are busy with 'Mono', so that must be it.' He scooped in another spoonful of ice-cream, 'Yeah...maybe.'
'May I ask, are you going somewhere?' I gestured at the medium-sized backpack he had kept down on the floor, the thing I had noticed right away when I saw him.
'Yeah,' He smiled as he talked, 'I am going to Ilsan, pay a visit to my parents in the off-time before open-air concerts start.'
'That's great. It must have been a while since the last time you met your parents, isn't it? They'll be happy too.'
'Yeah. It's been a while...' I observed his slow and calm voice, deep down to where there must be some nostalgic feelings and flashbacks he was experiencing. 'How long?'
'I don't know...three years...and a half...maybe?' My eyes widened, 'Wow! That's a long time.' He nodded.
'Don't you miss them?'
'A little, but I am used to living away, so the feelings reach lesser than it should.'
'How long have you been away from your state though, Y/N?' He added. I blinked my eyes startled at his question.
'Uh...sometime...' I laughed, then tried to divert the course away from mine, 'When's the last time you went to your parents?'
'Just once, after we debuted.' He leaned back on the chair to get a better sit, 'You know our debut wasn't that great. And I couldn't bring satisfactory with how I was at that time. But the situation is changed now, must be changed.'
'Of course. You are a famous idol now.' He smiled, 'Members are a reason too.'
'It seems like you're comfortable with each other, aren't you?' I said.
'Yeah. more than 8 years together, the easiness comes as a product.'
'8 years? I thought you guys met after you became a trainee?'
'Not really. I know Yoongi the longest, Jin is second in the time order. Taehyung was with Jimin since high school you may know. Jungkook is newest before all of them.'
'How did you all meet? None of you are from Seoul, all different places, if not Big Hit, then how?'
'Just that...' He placed his elbows on the table intertwining his fingers. His face was tentative, appeared like he was dilemmatic about what he should speak. 'There are some facts which brought us all together. I met Yoongi in front of a studio when I was passing by. He had fled from his home as he came to Seoul. He was always so passionate about music. We surprisingly became friends quicker than usual. Yoongi wouldn't talk much, but we were comfortable together. We saw Taehyung playing saxophone on the street once. Jin was...I don't even clearly remember how we all met. We just...did.'
'Oh...that explains it.'
'We needed money that time,' He continued to talk, seemed to have been lost and unaware of the world and me in front of him for the time being, 'we needed other essentials to live. We were desperate. School was a far thing from the list. We just...we roamed on the streets, ousted from the society and even family, we were street children, almost near to becoming some. I wonder, maybe that somehow was the only reason that kept us together. We strived...we needed each other...Luck, becoming an idol was not ever on our bucket list. We were...we were...so...' He took in a short breath slowly, 'Then...'
'Then?'
His lost pilgrim orbs shifted to meet my eyes. Instantly he checked himself, 'Uh anyways, I should be going now. Otherwise, I might get late. It was nice seeing you, Y/N.' He gave an authentic smile, 'Thanks for hearing my craps.'
'Haha, it's nothing, have a safe trip.' I muttered, disappointed a bit. By the time he quickly got him out through the door.
"Discreet, huh? Well..."
'I got what I needed.' The side bag danced along with the motion of my legs, a small walk to the bike I parked outside.
Momo was right.
Note that the time of the pretext of this ff is around and after Wing's era. And calculating from the time of debut: 2013-2016 (4 years) and taking the trainee period as approximately 3 years at best supposedly which makes it overall as 7. And since they knew each other even before when they became trainees, (I inserted that part of) RM saying that they are more than 8 years being together.
