2. Instinct

This will be the Author POV

"Mark, how does it feel like living in America?"

"Mark, is it true that chipmunks talk in the states?"

"Mark, why do you look so not American?"

"Mark,"

"Mark,"

"Mark-"

"Guys, enough." Shouted Jinyoung, who was already boiled in temper at the moment. How could he not, every girls in the class EVEN other classes were trying to get to know the new boy. As if this new boy who sat beside Jinyoung making him suddenly losing his popularity.

"Mark is still new, and you guys don't want him to be uncomfortable with his new environment, right? So please, dismiss from here and go take your lunch outside the class." He explained, "now!"

"Wow, the power of the class president. I wish I could hold that power to make people obey me." Mark said in awe after seeing the kids go back to their own business.

"Well, there's only one thing you must stick into... You want to rule or be ruled."

The two boys did high fives. Sure, they just met and became a seatmate yet they fit each other well already.

"Ugh, just look at them. The new boy and the playboy. Why must he be with Jinyoung?? I mean, from all the kids, why him???"

"Jisoo, if you hate him that much, I'll guarantee you that you guys will date each other in the future." Said Bambam while eating his lunch at his table, grouping with Yugyeom, Jennie, Jisoo and Sana.

"Ewh, no thank you. I rather date a geek than a playboy like him."

"Watch your mouth, Jisoo. We never know what will happen next." Jennie added.

All of them laughed and continued enjoying their lunch with another topic to talk until someone approached them from outside of the class.

"Hey guys, mind if I join in?"

"Oh hey, Lisa, here have a seat." Yugyeom pulled out an empty seat to the side of the table for Lisa to sit, now making them all sitting in circle. Lisa took out her lunch box and before she could eat, her eyes turned to Sana and saw her playing with her food while spacing out. Lisa who knew well about her, felt like she didn't behave as usual and became worried over her best friend.

"Sana, you're awfully quiet today. What's wrong?"

"Nothing. I, err..."

"Is it because of the new boy??" Yugyeom asked, with his one side eyebrow up.

"No, it's not like that, Yugyeom... I just don't feel so well..."

Sana was a bit uncomfortable. Because from her view, she could sense Mark was glancing at her direction. All of them were eating at Bambam's table, so Sana and Jennie had to turn their chair to face the boys, while Jisoo and Lisa sat in each side of the table. Sitting with that position made her clearly see the back of the class and Mark who was grouping with the boys at the middle back. She could feel the stare she had been receiving but she wasn't sure, so she tried to shove it away.

Class was over and it's time for the students to go home.

Sana packed her things up and walked her way to Lisa's classroom but stopped when she saw a figure of the new boy standing not far from class A.

'What is he doing there?' she thought to herself.

Sana from afar could only see what he was doing, stretching his hands, scratching his back head, looking nervous as if he was anticipating for something. But what could it be...

She wanted to approach him and talk but Lisa was already on her eyesight.

"Sana!!" She called her out. That got Mark's attention as he followed his head to where Lisa was heading to after she walked past him. Lisa linked her arms with Sana's and they walked home together. But this time, Sana was so sure that Mark's eyes were on her!

'No, Sana... You can be wrong. Lisa was just being loud, everyone was so loud during recess too... That's why it got his attention...' Sana tried to be positive in her mind.

Sana was so used of observing her surrounding, that's why she was quick to realize the stares she had been receiving for the past week.

But little did she know what comes ahead after that.
