Her blunt question sent the boy back out of the waters, if there was one thing he wished to change about their relationship it had to be questions like these. He had always known about how curious she was, 'as curious as a cat' as her mother used to tell the boy. But he hated to think about a future like that, or even a future that just didn't include her with him.

"We'll be ali-"

"Eren, I don't mind if I'm not"

"I...I know you don't [N/n] but that doesn't mean I do"

"If either of us dies on the battle field...I'd be happy knowing we did something"

Eren once again didn't speak, not that [F/n] really minded that much. The girl had known exactly what she was saying to him, exactly how it was making him feel to think about it, but she DID want to ease his pain. She realized long ago she was never going to live up to the things he can do. To the things many others could do for the world, like Mikasa, all because she wasn't like that. She didn't excel in anything really, she was simply....average.

"I don't want to lose you..."

"I know Eren, and I don't want to lose you either. But we ne-"

She was silenced by Eren wrapping his arms around her figure, pulling her into his warmer chest. He didn't speak, and neither did she, the both of them simply held one another in bliss of the moment. Eren, slowly trying to forget what they had brought up...and [F/n], enjoying the moments like these that they were able to spend with each other. Enjoying the company of having someone so loving and caring in your life that it made their own heart burst into flames when they'd touch.

"I would die for you"
