Sharp cold air hits my face as i step off the aeroplane, i shiver and pull out my headphones that are blasting pop diva tracks whilst I carefully manoeuvre my way down the steps, ensuring not to trip and embarrass myself completely. As i reach the ground a sigh of relief escapes my lips as i take in my surroundings.

"Finally home" I mumble to myself as i hurriedly walk to the entrance.

I adjust my backpack on my shoulders as i walk through the door, heading straight to baggage claim. I stand around for a few minutes watching people collect their luggage, as I'm staring at people and assessing my situation i see a big navy suitcase come around the conveyer belt, i squeeze past a few people in front of me and pull the case off with ease. Brushing my long brown hair off my shoulders i head for the door which leads to people awaiting my arrival.

I scan the room whilst pulling my fairly large case behind me, i stand in one position for a few seconds hoping someone will spot me.

"Alaia!!" i hear a familiar voice cry out.

My head snaps towards a woman with blonde hair and a huge white smile plastered on her face running towards me, followed by two other adults.

"Mum!" i giggle as she wraps her long arms around my torso, swaying me from side to side.

I pull away from mum and a smile erupts on my face as i see my boyfriend and my father standing next to me.

"I missed you both so much!" i pout as i grab them and pull them both into my small arms.

"We haven't seen you in forever" my father mumbles as he lets go of Jaidon and i.

"I can agree with him on that one" Jaidon smirks as mum giggles from behind me.

"i'm sorry ! but i'm back now so enjoy it while it lasts" i wink.

"Alright alright, lets get going, I'm sure you're as tired as we are. You can tell us about everything when we get in the car" mum smiles and plants a kiss on my forehead as dad grabs my suitcase and walks infront of Jaidon and i, hand in hand with my mum.

I turn to Jaidon and run my hands through his jet black hair, admiring his beautiful complextion and dreamy chocolate eyes. I swiftly kiss him on the lips as he pulls my into him by my waist.

"oh how i missed you baby" he smiles against my lips

"i missed you more jai" i sigh as i intertwine my fingers in his and briskly walk to catch up with my parents that are now further in front of my than i hoped.

The car ride home was full of laughter, tears and stories. I told them all about my adventures in Australia, from almost drowning at the beach, to meeting a koala and making amazing friends. I had the most amazing time of my life in Australia but i did also dearly miss Jaidon and my parents back here in New York. New York is boring and i love travelling but i need to come back here once in a while as it isn't fair on my parents being without their only daughter for such long periods of time, not to mention this is my home and always has been.

After what feels like a lifetime we finally pull up to my childhood home, i yawn and rub my eyes as i open the car door and step out onto the wet concrete. My father grabs my suitcase and i look at him with a half smile as i just can't be bothered to plaster a full one onto my face, i am beyond tired. No one says a word as we all walk up the huge driveway and open the gigantic wooden door to my home. Jai places a hand on my back and rubs gently, it sends shivers up my back and goosebumps form on my arms. Oh how I've missed someone's touch. As we walk in the ridiculously large house the scent of vanilla candles and lavender hit my nose causing me to remember my childhood and how much i have missed being at home.

"I'm honestly so glad you are home baby girl" dad says as he turns to face me, leaving my suitcase near the stairs and pulling me into a hug.

"so am i" i mumble into his cardigan, almost choking on the amount of aftershave he's drenched himself with.

I feel mum join the hug and sigh whilst rubbing my arm. After a few moments we all pull away from the hug and mum giggles at me, i raise my eyebrow at her as i push my hair out of my face.

"you look terrible Alaia, you need to sleep!" she chuckles.

"i agree, get some sleep and we will talk more tomorrow sweetie" dad smiles and turns to walk up the huge stairs as mum follows behind.

"Goodnight Alaia, Goodnight Jaidon" My parents call out, We wave at them as they promptly walk into their sizeable bedroom.

Jaidon and i turn to face each other and before i can get any words out he pulls me over his shoulder and briskly walks into the vast loungeroom.

"What are you doing!" i laugh out while kicking my legs in the air.

Jai gently lays me down on the lounge and i shiver at the coldness of the leather. He climbs on top of me and pushes my tangled hair out of my face. He stares into my eyes for a while, i can tell he is admiring me and pondering over how much he missed me. I admire his beautiful smile and doughy eyes before he moves his face inches from mine and plants a kiss on my soft lips. Our lips move in sync and he lowers himself between my legs.

"baby i missed you so much" i breathe out while wrapping my legs around his torso.

"i missed you more sugar" he grins and moves me onto his lap.

I wrap my arms around his neck and kiss him softly on the cheek.

"Did much happen whilst i was gone?" i question while i run my hands through his hair and stare into his eyes.

"Nothing really, same old. Just went to college, hung out with the boys and missed your beautiful face" i nod as he speaks to give re assurance that i'm listening when really i'm too tired to function at this point. He sees in it my face that I'm trying to keep awake and runs a hand over my cheek.

"lets go upstairs and get you to bed" he says whilst kissing my forehead and proceeding to pull me by the hand until we get all the way to the top of the stairs. My legs ache by the time we reach my room, i open the door and sigh of relief that not one thing has been touched in my room. I pull jai into my room and throw myself down onto the soft mattress that takes up most of my immense room.

"pleaseeee could you get my pyjamas out of my dresser" i say making sure to emphasis the please.

He rolls his eyes but does what i ask. He hands me a pink set of pyjamas and sits down on the bed next to me, i get up and pull my oversized jumper over my head revealing my blue bra underneath. Jai's eyes gape and he smirks at me.

"now isn't the time" i giggle, pulling the shirt over my head.

I finish getting dressed as Jai does and i pull back my bed sheets, climbing in and slowly drifting off to sleep.

Hello ! I hope you enjoyed this chapter,

it's pretty boring and you haven't really gotten to know the characters that well but you will find out so much more in the next chapter, trust me. I'm just getting used to this whole thing so bare with me & get excited for the next chapter.
