For Nihon. - Poem

The moon we see each night,

I look at it some nights and wonder

You see the same one, right?

That thought causes me to ponder.

You and I, we're not so different in the end,

Perhaps in another world, there would be no fighting.

In that world I could call you my friend.

So why do we fight?

Why do we argue?

When the that bright sky we see at night,

Truly holds the same virtue?

We live on the same earth, just in different places.

Everyone has different names, different faces.

But after all, we're truly the same.

Everyone hurts, everyone bleeds.

Dyed red, powerful and strong.

Do you remember the day I found you?

Amongst the bamboo?

A strong man you soon grew to be,

Powerful and sturdy, as your destiny did foresee.

The sun shines brightly on us both,

Proud and strong.

Like a dragon, or a strike of a gong.

That is the type of man you grew to be,

One who would fight, one who would not run.

Land of the rising sun.
