" 'I've waited too long.' God, Beca could you sound more stupid?" Beca mentally scolded herself. She had facepalmed several times already and the dude sitting next to her on the plane was starting to give her funny looks.

She shuddered. Beca was ashamed that she could say something so cheesy. She sounded like she had just stepped out of a rom-com. Suddenly, she heard an announcement from the pilot: the usual stuff about fastening their seatbelts cause the plane was about to land or something. Beca sighed and tugged the belt around her.

~~~~
After listening to tons of depressing songs about love for the entire length of the flight, Beca was left feeling unsurprisingly worse than she felt when she got on the plane. She missed the Bellas so much already. She couldn't imagine her life without them.
Airport security was the worst. It always took an unreasonably long time and there were always loads of middle aged people who had no idea what they were doing. Honestly, these people were so dumb.
Beca walked through the metal detector, and collected her belongings on the other side. She looked up to walk across the airport and...
Well shit.
"Beca." Chloe said.
She was just standing in front of her. Beca was speechless. Completely lost for words. She opened her mouth to say something but nothing came out. What the hell? She was sure the redhead wasn't on her plane.
"Chloe?!" She practically yelled.
"How the hell did you get here so fast?" Beca asked.
"Helicopter." Chloe stated, shrugging her shoulders like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"Wha... how?" Beca asked.
"Benefits of having friends in the army." Chloe said, pointing to the man standing next to her.
Chicago.
Beca felt her blood boil. For God's sake, it had to be that asshole standing in front of her. She wished so much that that dude would just randomly drop dead and...
"Wait did you just say friend?"
"Yeah." Chloe replied, smirking.
"Just friends?" Beca asked, her voice barely a whisper.
"Just friends." Chloe nodded, taking one step closer to the brunette.
When Chloe kissed her, Beca didn't quite know what to do. Jesus Christ the girl you've been in love with for years is kissing you and you're just standing there?
Her lips finally realised they should probably kiss Chloe back. They stood in the middle of the airport, making up for years of untold feelings until Beca pulled apart.
She pointed at Chicago, waggling her finger at him accusingly.
"Wait are you just friends mister,  cause Chloe might well be but you might not be, you know, and..."
"Just friends."
"Are you sure, cause..."
"Beca, just shut up and kiss me, you weirdo."
"Gladly."
