Megan's POV

The young child told me to stay behind. I do not understand why, but it looked like he knew what he was doing.

"Why have you asked me to stay behind?"

"I need you to stableize him."

"What do you mean by stableize?"

"His muscles are slowly reforming to form around the shattered bones, by stabilizing him you will allow me to shift the leg in place as well as partially make him conscious so he will know what is going on, but in a comatose state at the same time."

"How have you acquired knowledge in this subject?" I was wondering how I could find out. Duh Megan! Just use your mind abilities. The kid turned away from me and I found it perfect opportunity to look through his mind.

"Martian, if you even get another thought of looking through my mind, if you wont keep your arms."

I gulped. He wasnt kidding. I then heard him mumble something, I caught some of this, but not all of it. But what I heard was something along the lines of, 'And even if you did, you would find nothing that wouldn't leave a scar'.

But that was crazy, I couldnt get a scar from looking through someone's memories, what a silly thing to say. I let out a slight chuckle.

"What is amusing martian?" He asked in a cold tone.

"I can't get scars from looking through someone's mind."

He pointed to his head and said ''Not those types of scars martian''

I didn't know what he meant when he said that. I would have to ask the team later. He then told me that we were looking time, so I did as I was told.

It was truly strange. When we got him into the infirmary and everyone was frantic. Conner was pacing, Robin was sitting in a chair with a far off expression. Kaldur and Artemis were aiding the child but were very stressed. But the strange thing is, this child was calm.

He was alarmingly calm as if this wasn't the first time something like that happened. I will also have to ask the team about it. I remember the only words he spoke to Artemis and Kaldur 'handle the small things like him flatlining'.

At this now everyone was worried, but I don't know why, but I knew that it wouldn't let Wally flatline. After checking the IV's he gave Wally a shot. We looked at him confused.

"It will keep him in a drug induced comatose state, the amount given to him is enough to take out a elephant."

"Why would it be strong enough to take out a elephant!?!" Artemis shrieked

"Because of his speed he will wear off a normal dose quicker, so by giving him this, he will have a less likely to wake up and heal when I am fixing his leg, we do not have any time to spare."

And with that he left, his arms still chained and he walked into Wally's room and removed his gloves. I gasped, his hands were very tan but were littered with scars. There was one that caught my attention, it looked new and barely healed over. It dissapeared under his uniforms sleeves.

All I wanted to do was go up to the boy and hug him, I don't know what came over me, but I wanted to make all of his scars go away. I pulled Robin over to look, I grabbed two masks and gave one to Robin. He put it on and we entered the room.

Robin look at his hands

Yeah, he should be wearing scrubs. What indecency he has.

Robin! That was mean! And not what I meant! Look at his hand and what do you see?

I see scars. Many many scars.

Robin, when he told me to stableize Wally, I was about to look through his mind when he told me not to, then said something about me getting scars. I laughed and told him I couldn't get scars from looking at his mind, the pointed to his head and said 'Not those scars martian'

Megan, he was talking about mental scars. Something is off about him.

Watch him for a minute, he doesn't falter when he is operating and he has been talking to Artemis telling her to calm down or get out for the last ten minutes.

That is true, but still he doesn't need to be so harsh, and he is like a stone block. No emotions whatsoever, there is something he is hiding. You need to look through his mind. This kid has a dark vibe.

Yes, what do you suppose we do about it?

We need Dinah, Batman and Wonder Woman for this

Wonder Woman is off for the rest of the year remember?

Ah yes. Dang. But if Batman and Dinah can't crack him, then nobody can.

And with that we walked out of the room, and watch the child work. He moved with excellent precision even though he was chained. But with the way he was moving, there is no doubt that he could snap the chains binding his wrists and escape. But he stayed with Wally, there was something that kept him here. I could only wonder what it was.

Timeskip to after the surgery because I am a lazy author. T~T

The kid came out of the room and said that he would wake up in about 10 hours. He went to the sink in the operating room and washed his hands off.

The child came and gave Wally a shot. "It is an ani-toxin, he will wake up sooner"

"You put a toxin in Wally?" Kaldur asks authority in his voice. He used this voice when he wanted to make us listen. But the child seemed unfazed and remained neutral.

"No, but that elephant tranquilizer isn't natural, so it can be reversed by the anti-toxin"

"So why did you have to operate? Why couldnt we have done it?" Robin asked, but not out of curiosity, but more of a snarky tone.

"Because how his enhanced speed, his muscles started to heal around the shattered bone, and only two people know how to fix the bone shattering."

"And how would you know how to fix it?" Kaldur piped in.

"Because I've had to fix it before"

"On who?" I asked out of curiosity.

"On myself" he said still no emotion on his face.

"And WHO did it?" Artemis asked with anger hinting in her voice.

"That is for me to know Artemis" he said obviously not wanting to discuss it further.

"Your friend will be fine, but I believe that I have overextended my stay." He turned to leave and started walking towards the zeta tubes.

"You cant just leave. We need to interrogate you" Robin sneered.

"I can leave anytime I wish to leave weather I am bleeding out or not, but if it will get you off my back and leave me alone, then fine." He sighed and turned around. "Take me to the prison ward"
