I want to start this off with a update. I want to apologize for those who have been waiting for a new chapter, I've been going through rough times lately since my mother died last year. I felt broken and went through rough situations. But with the help of my father, I'm slowly recovering and getting my feet back up. I will dedicate this story to my mother and my father for always giving me love and support. I also dedicate this story to my friend CatherineLang9 who always admired my stories and the characters in them, always kind and a good friend as well. Thank you so much, everyone 💖

Since I had to remove some pictures and gifs on my stories because Wattpad are not showing them, I have to write the dream cast names on here.

"Dear Diary, this summer is about to be a fun one since another band is staying at my family's mansion to record a new album, the band is called "The Fender Benders." I actually saw the band once in London at a concert with my friends during my first year as a student at Cambridge University, they were pretty great for a British band. As a rock 'n' roll fan, I actually never heard of the band that much, I've been too busy with my studies to listen to new bands last year. My friends told me about how great the band was, they were right about the band after seeing them, I can see why my friends are fans of the band. I'm actually nervous to meet them, especially since I am a shy girl. I do wonder how these members are as house guests, hopefully they are the type of British people that are polite and have good manners or they might be one of those crazy bands that trash the places they stay and party all the time. Since my parents are throwing a party today, I will see how this band behaves. I can try interacting with them if they have good manners. I wonder if I'll meet the right man at this party today. Well, I'll wish myself luck."

Some time later, the party was already filled with guests. Melody looked around for the band members, she found them talking to her parents. She didn't want to talk to them yet since she's very shy, the four members are two men and two women. She remembered what instruments that they play in the band.

There was Mary Whitfield, the lead singer of the band, Beatrice Prescott, the guitarist, Arthur Moore, the drummer, and David Mathews, the bass player. When she looked at David, the world stopped and everything went silent around her. He was the most handsome man that she has ever seen in her life, he looks like he's around his 30s. For a guy around his 30s, he was so hot.

When David saw a girl with beautiful red hair staring at him for only a second before she quickly looked away. The world stopped around him when he looked at her, she had to be the most beautiful girl that he had ever seen in his life.

She had to look away when he looked at her, her parents always told her not to stare at people since it was rude, she didn't want to be rude anyway. She looked away at the right time when she witnessed her five year old niece falling into the swimming pool in the backyard, Melody immediately ran to rescue her. She jumped right in and managed to get her niece out of the water, not even caring that she got herself wet.

Melody climbed out of the pool. Just before she had the idea to start running to her room to get changed, she felt someone putting a jacket on her.

"Thanks, Mister. You just saved me from a lot of humiliation." Said Melody.

"You're very welcome, love." Said a voice next to her.

She turned to her right to face the man who gave her the jacket, it was David Mathews. The man that she was staring at earlier. She was now face to face with him, he even saved her from embarrassment. He was definitely an English gentleman.

She blushed and said, "excuse me, I'll be right back."

She went upstairs to her room to dry herself off and put on a dry dress. She was thankful that he was so kind enough to give her this jacket since her dress is all wet and everyone could've seen her body if he didn't give her his jacket. Even though she'll have the jacket dried off after wearing it, she was thankful for his kindness.

Later, she went downstairs with a new dress on. She found David, she went to thank him for his kindness and give his jacket back to him.

"Would you like to have me get this dry cleaned before you take it back?" Asked Melody.

"No, a pretty girl getting it damp won't hurt it." David replied.

"I don't think we've been formally introduced, I'm Melody Langway." Said Melody.

"I'm David Mathews," Said David.

"I know. This is my father's house, I also know you're here with the band to record an album."

"You like our music?" Asked David.

"Yeah, I actually saw one of your shows back in London last year. I even listened to all of the band's songs after the show, my favorite was "Go to the Head of the Class." That song reminds me of a very smart student from one of my classes in Cambridge University." Melody replied.

"Thanks, I've actually written that song for one of the earlier albums. That song never had much attention back then." Said David.

"Well, I love to listen to lesser known songs a lot since they can have special meaning sometimes. I also love Jazz, Blues, Slow music. I love all types of music."

"What's your favourite?" Asked David.

"Jazz. It's also perfect for dances when you want to have more fun." Melody replied.

As they talk about other things, they got off to a good start as they started becoming friends. But even though they are becoming friends, David started to feel some doubts about Melody. She's young, she's rich, her parents won't approve of this because he's a musician and he's 37 years old. They'll just see it as he's only with her for money and have her as a trophy wife. But that's not true anyway. He feels that he shouldn't fall in love with her.
