Episode 3: who we truly are

As Clementine watched Louis and AJ vanish into the woods to spy on whoever was out there,violet stood next to her and spoke.
"Don't worry they'll make it back"
Clementine turned to look at her,violets face said nothing but the expression that they were going to be all right.
"Yeah, you're right." She responded looking back to the woods. "AJ's grown up in this world and Louis probably knows this forest off the back of his hand"
"See? Less reason to worry. Besides..." violet pointed to the run down benches. "Can we talk?"
"Ok,let's go sit." clementine started her walk towards them. As both of them started walking towards the benches, asaim climbed out of the cellar and hollered to Clem,waving his hands
"Hey clementine when you can, we need you in the cellar!"
"Ok,give me a minute!"

Clementine began the long process of attempting to sit down on the bench when she started the conversation. "So,what did you want to talk about?"
While violet helped clementine set her crutches down,she began to tell her about what kept her up last night.
"These last couple of nights, there's been something on my mind that I've been wanting to talk about"
With both of them sitting down, violets question came at full force.
Clementine could feel her insides tensing up as the blonde haired teen brought Minnie up to light.

"What really happened to her clementine? Everyone keeps telling me not to worry about her anymore but how do you forget your special someone in the apocalypse you know?"
Clementine closed her eyes and let out a sigh before she began. While violet studied her for an answer she finally started.
"Violet what happened on the bridge is..not that easy to explain,I'm surprised that no one has even told you how Minnie acted on the bridge"
Violet looked down and shook her head "no,nothing,everyone keeps telling me to move on from her,I get that but I at least want to know what happened to her"

"I understand that"  she said as she turned to look to her. "Well for starters, we all got to this bridge that was falling apart,then Minnie came at us.." Violet waited anxiously to hear more of what clementine had to say and clementine could tell. "She was singing this song called "Don't be afraid" and... we had no clue about why she followed us, we thought she died on the beach"
"What happened next Clem?" Violet said attempting to get more of the story out. "We fought on the bridge,she tried to kill tenn and I just wouldn't let it happen." Clementines face then became grief-stricken. "And then when the walkers finally got her...Tenn ran to go help her but Louis tried to stop him. And then AJ pulled the trigger on tenn"
Clementines face was littered with despair and anguish but she knew it was gonna be talked about either way at sometime.
Violet said nothing but express her own grief for a loss of another friend.
"That was also why this happened" Clementine then looked at her amputated leg.
"ooh..." was all violet said.
"AJ said something the other day about a foot-book" a grin spawned on her face after saying.
"Maybe we can create something like a peg leg or something" violet offered
"Well we'll just have to wait and see." They both then looked towards the gate. After a long moment,clementine started her process of getting up. "I need to get downstairs,asaim said he needed me for something"
"I'll help you." Violet said standing up to help her get to the stairs

Back in the forest

AJ looked at Louis to see a panicked look across his face. That was when he noticed the barrel of a gun placed against his head. AJ's first instinct was to turn around and attack the person closest to him and that's what he did. He spun around standing back up from his crouched position only for a man to smack him across the face,knocking AJ down to the dirt. A flurry of pain and rage fueled him until he looked at Louis,still in the same position.
"Tell your boy to give up or we start getting more rowdy" the man who hit AJ with a raspy voice told Louis
"AJ" louis looked at him "just listen to them."
So that's what AJ did.
"Good,that's good now both of you take out any weapons you have and put them on the ground behind you." Another voice said except more toned.
