"I-I don't think Bloody Mary'll be my new favorite..." Lafayette chuckled and put his half-full glass down on the bar counter.
They were out for the night again, getting drunk, flirting with people they'd never see again, since most of them were in a happy relationship. Trying weird and mostly disgusting drinks because of a dare, all the good things. Even Burr came along this time, it almost seemed like he enjoyed watching the stupid shit Alex, John, Hercules and Laf did.

Yet the one who usually was the loudest, Mr. I-have-the-biggest-dick-in-the-entire-club, was awfully quiet. Jefferson didn't care for the drinks and dares or even the occasional provocative insult Hamilton threw at him. He didn't even drink tonight. And the reason why was sitting right across of him. He himself was sitting next to Burr, by his left were John and Alex and across of him were Hercules and... Lafayette, of course. The Frenchman had his undivided attention. In fact, he's had it ever since the moment Thomas realized his actual feelings towards him, around two or three months ago. He loved everything about him, from his adorable accent, the little stubble that was forming on his chin to the way his nose crunched up when he laughed, and the giggle that accompanied it. Just everything. Lafayette had been the one who introduced him to the friend group, since Thomas' feisty nature and cockiness left him mostly socially isolated.

"WHO WANTS TO WATCH ME CHUG DOWN 14 SHOTS IN ONE GO?!" Alex yelled, snapping Thomas out of his daydream.
Without hesitation, he swallowed every single drop in roughly 30 seconds.
"Geez, hun. Slow down a little, you promised to drive me home." John said, rubbing Alex's back.

Thomas just rolled his eyes at the couple.
Once again, he found himself being the only single among the group, the 5th wheel, as James would call it. Unfortunately, no drink in the world could make him forget the pain caused by watching Lafayette and Hercules holding hands, kissing, being happy together. It appeared as if Hercules had everything Thomas was forced to live without.
He took a sip from his coke, continuously watching the Frenchman, who was chuckling at the situation. It brought a small smile to his own lips, seeing Lafayette happy, but he soon frowned when he suddenly noticed Hercules. The broad man placed a kiss on Lafayette's cheek, reminding Thomas that he had been too slow. His heart now belonged to him and there was nothing Thomas could do about it. If he only hadn't waited for so long, maybe he would've had a chance. But then again, he didn't know wether his love would end up unrequited or not. His judgement was really poor, and having nobody he could talk to about this, not even Madison, lead him to this mistake.
It wasn't even in his nature, to be hesitant, but with Lafayette it was different. The man made him feel things he hadn't previously felt, probably without even noticing that he was doing it right now. His heart lit up whenever he was joyful, but on the rare occasions on which Lafayette was sad he could feel his heart shatter. It was almost painful.

He was torn out of his thoughts once more by Alex, who was swaying in the direction of the bathroom, having downed six more shots. Laurens followed him, and they both disappeared.
While Hercules and Burr had smirks on their faces Lafayette seemed a bit concerned, though it was normal to see Hamilton throw up after one too many shots.

"Ah, he'll be fine, Laffy... ya know him." Hercules said, after noticing Lafayette's expression. He laughed and pat his shoulder, kissing him again, making Thomas groan silently.
He kept telling himself that he shouldn't care, that he should be happy that Lafayette is happy.
But he wasn't.
It pained Thomas to see the Frenchman in another man's arms, but there was very little he could do against it.
He looked away once Lafayette leaned into Herc's arms.

An hour later, maybe two, Thomas wasn't really sure, some people had left the club. Burr had actually gone home a few minutes earlier. Alex and John had returned some time ago, but went off to sing karaoke, both obviously drunk. It was some sappy love song he didn't recognize.
Lafayette, who was relatively drunk at this point, had been dragged to the dance floor by Hercules, but not before he turned his attention to Thomas.
