Chapter 3-The Moon Will Shine Bright For You

"Val. What are you thinking of?" She asked as she swung her legs over the tree branch

"What your real name is." I answered

"ha. . . Didn't I tell you that it didn't matter, right?" Zav told me. I really wonder what her real name is, I don't know why she wouldn't tell me. Did it have to do something with having the same name as the person you didn't like? Or does she not like her name because it sounded like a boy's name? Or is it because she had the same name as a celebrity and people kept annoying her about it? Or is it because she just really didn't like the name?

"Earth to my Val?" Zav waved her hands in front of me as she pinched my cheek

"I'm on earth now. " I smiled sweetly

"How old are you? I'm sure you're younger than me." Zav asked

"Im 9, How old are you?" 

"Oh! I'm 11!" Zav answered with a big smile

"Wow, i thought you were 12 or something." I told her

"Do I look that old to you?" Zav furrowed her eyebrows I responded with a laugh

"N-No! you're just ... you act older than a lot of 11 year old's! I didn't mean that you look old." we both laughed

"Haha, I know. I was just joking with you." Zav smiled sweetly at me

Then I realized that Zav changed the topic from me wanting to know her name to our ages. "Hey! What's your real name? Why don't you like your real name?" I asked again

"Hah.  .  .  . You really want to know that badly?" Zav asked me as she had a worried/nervous face as she smiled. I nodded my head quickly

"Well I-" Zav started but we suddenly heard cracking and we both looked at each other and we looked around. Then Zav eyed something, Whatever she was eyeing , It made her panic

"Uh- Z-Zav? What was that?" I asked a little panicked

"Stay still, Val." Zav looked at me really panicked, but she tried to stay calm. What was making her panic so much? Then we heard cracking again and the tree branch started to break off of the tree trunk

"Z-Zav!" I started to sweat and tear up a bit. We were at least 12 or  15 feet up. 

" Stay still! I'll try to make a staircase using my ability! " Zav tried to use her ability but nothing happened

"Why is my ability so confusing to use???" Zav panicked and it started to look like she was a little see-through Then the tree branch started to break off little by little and the cracking sound was more present

"Zav?" I cried as she was panicking

"Use your water ability! Make a pool under us!" Zav said to me

"Zav, I-I can't do that! You know that I can barely make a water jet!" I cried louder

Then the branch snapped off of the tree. and we were falling. Zav quickly hugged me in hopes that I wouldn't get hurt from the fall.

I soon felt the ground and my back hurt a lot. I screamed-cried while I rubbed my back in hopes it would get better. I tilted my head to look for Zav. She was lying beside me, Her head bled because she hit a rock and her legs were under the fallen tree branch. . . she couldn't move because of that

"Zav! Zav! W-Wake up!" I wiggled her arm around then let it fall on it's own. No one could hear us because this was our secret spot. far from people. No one could hear us. .  .I continued to call her name, But she wasn't moving.
